#Sinnar State and neighboring areas are witnessing a complex situation that is rapidly deteriorating due to ongoing conflicts and fighting. In the Dinder and Suki localities, local communities are experiencing difficulty obtaining food, and the situation is expected to worsen soon due to the siege imposed on the state. Reports indicate that 55,000 people have been displaced to #Gedaref State, 258 kilometers from Sennar, in light of the shortage of shelter centers that are already suffering from major overcrowding after receiving 214,498 other displaced people. Many displaced people are stuck in the villages of Dinder, forced to walk long distances in difficult muddy conditions and under heavy rain. In #Sinja locality is estimated at 850 people who were unable to communicate with their families due to the outage of communications and electricity. Deaths are recorded as a result of long walks of people suffering from chronic diseases and infants, with expectations of an increase in deaths due to hunger and thirst. The number of civilian casualties since the militia entered Sinnar state reached 297 in the Jebel Muya area, and it is believed that the actual number may be higher. The number of casualties in the Sinja and Al-Dinir localities has not been verified due to a communications outage, but eyewitnesses confirmed the presence of victims, including a 4-year-old girl. #stopthewar #stoptgewaronchildren #savesudan #sudan

Pakistan is currently enduring a severe heatwave, with Sindh province facing temperatures as high as 53°C (127.4°F). This extreme heat poses a serious health threat, especially to vulnerable communities already affected by recent floods. Got the opportunity today...... To visit the affected areas by flood... Pakistan is already among the top 20 affected countries by the climatic changes and their major consequences. Gilgit Baltistan is one of them and facing its serious impacts. Being a native of the affected region, I know the unpredictable situation of the calamity. The mentioned areas of GB are already under mammoth destruction and it's leading to evacuation. The water body is increasing day by day owing to the melting of ice and glaciers posing impartial threats to the fertile and barren lands. The efforts of the local people will be of no use if the ruthless river is set free for more destruction. The people would have to migrate shortly from the place and have to choose the option of displacement. In the affected area and its vicinity people solely rely on agriculture and there is no other source of income to feed and sustainability. This is the time to act now or never for the conservation of the resources. Otherwise, after the right time, all the immeasurable attempts would be in vain. Action taken by timely rewards more than the late. People of the region are waiting for immediate aid, support and actions from higher authorities and international humantarian welfare communities. #flooding #affectedarea #gilgitbaltistan #climatechanges #internationalfunders #welfare #funding

🚨Updates🚨 The situation in Wayanad, Kerala, remains critical. The death toll has surpassed 360, with over 273 individuals injured and around 180 still missing. More than 10,000 people have been displaced, and approximately 1,300 rescuers, including teams from the Navy and Army, are engaged in ongoing operations despite challenges posed by damaged infrastructure and continuous heavy rainfall. Relief efforts have established 45 camps, currently housing over 3,000 displaced individuals, with the government ensuring the supply of essential food and necessities. However, the India Meteorological Department has issued red alerts for heavy rainfall, raising concerns about further landslides. In response, the Kerala government has declared a state of mourning and announced compensation for the families of victims while mobilising humanitarian agencies to provide relief. The situation is evolving, with a strong focus on locating missing persons and delivering immediate aid to affected communities. #wayanad #savewayanad

‼️A rapid response is needed in Koukou, eastern #Chad, where thousands of people have fled #floods. There are severe shortages of food, drinking water, health care, and shelter as many seek refuge on high ground. MSF is on the ground supporting the response and calling other humanitarian organizations to provide emergency assistance for people in Koukou and the region now, and to assess the needs in surrounding areas. Given the extent of the flooding, solutions must urgently be found to reach affected communities, bring supplies, and provide a rapid and coordinated response. #humanitariancrisis #aid #emergency https://lnkd.in/dTJbxU8r
