I agree that we need to find alternative ways to power EV DIRECT CURRENT CHARGING. Utility companies and wasteful AC power conversions are not sustainable or efficient options. I highly believe SOLAR, which is already DIRECT CURRENT, without the unnecessary AC to DC conversion, is the way!

Saying the quiet part out loud as a former CIA officer stated on Fox Business Network that “some people are just so hellbent on making sure that this transition happens, even if that means wrecking the economy, in terms of electricity, its reliability, the grid, getting brownouts or blackouts or economic wreckage by people who otherwise can't afford these new vehicles." “That cost is being shouldered by buyers and car companies by raising the price of gas-powered vehicles, [which] is basically just a direct wealth transfer, just paying for EV subsidies and that will grow over time”. We're ending 2023 on an electrifying note⚡It took a decade to sell America’s first 1 million EVs, two years to sell the next million, and in 2023, only 11 months to sell the next. EV sales are soaring, making up 19% of global auto sales in 2023. Despite policy setbacks and misinformation campaigns, EV adoption in the Southeast continues to grow, largely thanks to federal investments and incentives from the landmark Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and Inflation Reduction Act.

The question we should be asking is “what is happening that makes Shell Recharge need to charge exorbitant rates?” This is an important piece of EV adoption, and expensive charging isn’t going to help.
