🏥 Medical leakage current is an electric current in an undesirable conduction path of an electrical medical device. ⚡️ An electrical medical device operated in a normal and fault-free condition is in the so-called normal condition (NC). However, if it is operated in single fault condition (SFC), it may have higher leakage currents as a result. ⚠️ The level of permissible leakage currents is specified in the IEC60601-1 standard.
