While the Archer Midnight is one of the best looking eVTOL aircraft and as Bert Lear said "If it looks good, it will fly good", and the specs are realistic; the name Archer (a Piper Aircraft trademark and used for Piper's Archer trainer since 1974 - settled out of court), calling the midnight a flying car (roadable aircraft), unrealistic production forecasts (250 aircraft to be delivered in the first year, when Robinson Helicopter Company deliver under 300 per year, after 45 years in production) and promising type certification of the Midnight in 2025 (less than 2 years after first flight for a cleansheet aircraft, when the Bell Flight 525 fly by wire helicopter has yet to be type certified 9 years after first flight, not to mention the Leonardo AW609, 21 years after first flight), leaves one wondering not if, but when the next investor lawsuit(s) is coming?

History of Flight – 2011, the P&M Aviation Quik GTR, an ultralight trike flexwing. The latest post in my personal weekly history of flying aircraft (that I have photographed) is the &M Aviation Quik GTR an ultralight trike. Another of those ultralight trikes/flexwings that seem to be a cross between a powered hang glider and a motor scooter. Designed to comply with Fédération Aéronautique Internationale microlight, it is actually quite a decent machine. A pilot and passenger, and actual cockpit, which although open is a major improvement from gangling beneath a canvas or nylon covered wing on several bits of string. It also has recognisable controls. It performs well too with a 104mph top speed.   The original ‘Pegasus’ company was combined with Mainair Sports in 2003, (to form P&M), however this company went into administration in 2019. At some point the assets were purchased by the Indian company Albatross Flying Systems of Bangalore which now sells the Aviation Quik as a kit of parts for building at home.   I don’t know how many have been built, and I have only come across the one recognisable machine.
