As someone who works with LEDs, I probably shouldn’t say this - but I’m glad HPS grow lights exist. Even if they do have the shelf life of an opened can of tuna, guzzle energy like there’s no tomorrow and generate enough heat to fry an egg. Because if it wasn’t for HPS grow lights, it would be a lot harder to provide the context behind what makes NLight's LED systems so remarkable. If it wasn’t for HPS grow lights’ limited spectrums, the flexible and precise spectrum control our RV1000s offer wouldn’t stand out as much. If it wasn’t for HPS grow lights' poor energy efficiency, our RV1000s’ ability to drastically reduce energy consumption wouldn’t be as impressive. And if it wasn’t for HPS grow lights needing regular maintenance and replacement, the low maintenance requirements and high shelf life of our RV1000s wouldn’t seem all that great.
