In today's fast-paced world, staying informed is crucial, but it can be challenging to navigate through clickbait articles that waste time. NewsGPT was designed to offer a solution to this problem. With just one click, users can access articles that are relevant to their interests and receive summaries, similarities, and discrepancies from multiple sources. NewsGPT also includes prompts that make it easy to ask questions and retrieve information. In just one minute, you can obtain all the relevant information you need from five articles. This data is systematically stored in the Qdrant Vector Database, promoting accuracy and efficiency. ✅ Tailored News Recommendations: - Our system does more than just present news; it learns from you. By analyzing your reading habits, we leverage article embeddings to curate a personal news feed tailored to your interests. - A versatile search bar is always at your disposal, letting users explore any news topics that capture their interest. ✅ Efficient Information Retrieval: - With just a single click on an article of interest, NewsGPT gets to work. It collates similar news from multiple sources (3-5) and activates a Streamlit chatbot. - Your engagement begins immediately: the first query is autonomously forwarded to our chatbot to fetch a concise news summary. - For ease of user experience, we display predefined prompts as clickable buttons. I have been complaining about the 'khichdi'/ hodgepodge that is open source in ML/AI for, I would say for a year+ now. Tattle Civic Technologies is an open source project but, 'opening' AI systems is not as straightforward as opening code for a mobile app. Recent papers (Solaiman, 2023; Widder et al, 2023) do a great job of framing the problem. The CoP on AI as DPGs by Digital Public Goods Alliance is also a fantastic forum. We want to do our best to not contribute to the problem of confusing nomenclature, and maybe even try to help make things clearer. So, we are keenly participating in conversations around AI licensing. On 26th we'll be presenting at the Open Source Initiative (OSI)'s Deep Dive Webinar series. I wrote to Nikhil Pahwa expressing my disagreement with many of the points made. Nikhil graciously said that they would be publish notes of disagreement. When Pierce tested the app by inquiring about the outcome of the AFC Championship game, Arc Search distinguished itself from conventional search engines. Instead of generating a list of search results, the app compiled information from various sources across the web, summarizing key details into a cohesive webpage.
