Walking meetings are the best meetings!🚶🏻♀️ When the weather is bad outside, but you still want to do a walking meeting for exercise and a chat, what do you do? Brendan Wong and I decided to conduct our walking meeting inside a shopping centre! Walking meetings are my favourite forms of meetings because it will: 🚶🏻♀️Promote Health and Wellbeing: I sit at my desk all day long, and a walking meeting provides an opportunity to step away from our desks and increase our step count, which can lead to increased energy levels and reduced stress. 🚶🏻♀️ Boosts Creativity: The change of scenery from our desks and the combination of physical movement leads to fresh perspectives and innovative ideas. We even checked out some video equipment and talked about video ideas! 🚶🏻♀️ Encourages Connection: The shared experience fosters a sense of camaraderie, making it easier to build trust and collaboration in a more open and approachable atmosphere. I don't know what tomorrow's weather will be but April 5 is "Walk to Work Day". If you live too far to walk to work, then be sure to park further away, take the stairs and keep moving throughout your day. You should be taking a 5 minute screen break every hour or so. You can also incorporate walking meetings as part of your day. If your meeting doesn't require notetaking, why not make it a mobile meeting!
