Finding purpose in your job/career is important. If you don't connect what you do everyday to a bigger purpose then you will find yourself just going through the motions waiting for better days. My dad was a truck driver when I was little. It helped him fund his dream of becoming a pilot. When I was 3 years old, he was in a truck accident, had damage to his brain and was declared brain dead. Shortly after that, he died. He never had the opportunity to live out his dream of flying. Today, working at a company like Drivio who provides driver training with the mission of making South African roads safer, it becomes personal to me. What we do matters. It is important. It can save lives. How do you connect your job to a greater purpose?

Our energy always influences those around us. Horses are fascinating mirrors of our energy. They will not respond or cooperate if we are incongruent within ourselves. Initially, three horses walked away from me when I was thinking about what I wanted them to do, rather than being fully present with them. However, after I let go of trying to control the situation and became present, the same horses immediately walked towards me. This experience was a great reminder of how important it is to be present and let go of trying to control anyone besides ourselves.
