Hybrid airborne technology combines high-resolution imagery and LiDAR in one pod, enhancing both data accuracy and efficiency by integrating these two complementary technologies. These systems allow for simultaneous data collection in a single flight or separate collections from a single aircraft mobilisation, reducing operational costs and time. With hybrid airborne technology, a wide range of applications, from urban areas to large-scale surveys, can be effectively covered in a single pass, ensuring geometrically and temporally aligned imagery and terrain models. #ADAS#LiDAR Vs RADAR# #LiDAR- Light dedection and ranging# #RADAR-Radio dedection and ranging₹ Range: LiDAR and radar systems can detect objects at distances ranging from a few meters to more than 200 m. Wavelength: Radio waves have much larger wavelengths than light waves, which gives each system different capabilities. Cost: LiDAR sensors are more expensive than radar systems. Environmental conditions: Radar is reliable in various environmental conditions. Resolution: Radar data has lower resolution and a limited ability to capture fine details. Interference: Radar systems are susceptible to interference from other radar systems.

The Purpose Driven BD & Salesman | Partners and US Federal with Cyclomedia | High-Fidelity 3D Geospatial Digital Twins Start Here
In the race to build A scable 3D digital twin of the world, it requires a lot of data. Talking endless pedabytes of imagery and LiDAR data stitched together into an environment to pop out a digital version of the world. However, companies competing in this arena are missing out on crucial data sources to make digital twins worthwhile. They are putting their faith into all things satellite, map-based, and aerial to develop their digital twin. Now don't get me wrong, I have seen some beautiful 3D-renderings and models, yet there is a reason why the term urban caynons exist. All the aforementioned data collection methods cannot fill in the gaps for everything from the ground to 100 meters up within urban environments. Sure, one could use UAVs or boots on the ground to collect this type of data, but it doesn't scale! The winner of this race will be the company which adopts and conflates ground-based imagery and mobile LiDAR into their digital twin solution. I guarantee this!

The missing link https://lnkd.in/d2iNyzw3 In our book chapter our author Sebastian Kauczok has, to the best of our knowledge, for the first time placed the complementary detection capabilities of radar and lidar in a common theoretical context and, in particular, pointed out possible gaps that could be dangerous for turbulence warning at airports
