Unpopular opinion: Focusing on AI in recruitment is an overkill if you lack the basics. Many companies rush to implement AI in their recruitment process. They think it will solve all their problems. But without solid foundations, AI is just a shiny distraction. In my experience, recruitment optimization boils down to these essentials: 1. Get the basics right: Use a reliable Applicant Tracking System (ATS) like TalentLyft. Standardize your processes and know who is responsible for what. 2. Analyze and optimize: Use analytics to find bottlenecks in your process. Understand where things are slowing down and work on improving them. 3. Simple automation over AI: Sometimes, simple automation can solve your problems. For example, an "if-then" workflow automation with scheduling links can streamline interview scheduling without costly AI tools.
