This week we’re focusing on the mental health and wellbeing of fundraisers. Fundraising is undoubtedly a rewarding career, but it’s also good to acknowledge that it can be high-pressured and, over a prolonged period, can have an impact on your wellbeing. I've got good news to share and even better news after that. The good news first... In the past month, my posts about the cost of a cup of coffee, remote work savings, and my "why" behind fundraising for the Chicago Marathon have resulted in $630 of donations to benefit those impacted by Childhood Trauma. I'm so appreciative for your support! Here's the even better news... Because of this surge in donations over this time period, the team at Advocate Health Care has graciously extended my fundraising deadline to Oct. 1, to allow me to try and hit my goal of $1750. I truly appreciate their generosity, too. Now I have two weeks to make a final push to hit my goal. I'm sitting at $1155 at the time of this post and need $595 to cross the fundraising finish line.
