Are you reading an entire job description or just skipping to the qualifications? It's natural to want to make sure that you align with the criteria for a role, but if you're skipping the responsibilities, and other sections of a job description, you're missing out on a lot of useful information. Here's what you may miss by skipping a read through ALL of the information in a job description: ☑ Valuable information and language to include in your cover letter or resume to demonstrate your understanding of the role. ☑ A treasure trove of possible interview questions. If you have a story for each responsibility bullet, you'll be set up for success! ☑ An opportunity to check your alignment with the organization's values and ways of communicating. ☑ Most importantly - are you interested in doing the responsibilities listed? While you may be qualified, would you be excited to take on those tasks? Read on, team!
