I love it 💃 🚀 I think it's important to spotlight female role models to inspire more women in tech! In 2023, women held 26.7% of tech jobs, up from 19% in 2019. Yet only 14% of tech leaders are women, and representation is even lower for CTOs and engineering heads. #WomenInTech #DiversityInLeadership #FemaleFounders #TechLeadership

Let’s talk about the power of community. 📅 On 12/3, I’ll be speaking on a panel with Sequoia, Dextego, and Build Scale Grow on the topic of ‘Intergenerational Optimization.’ The Tech industry offers opportunity for success like no other, but ageism—often the forgotten sibling in ED&I—can quietly undermine inclusivity. 📉 When left unchecked, it disrupts collaboration, weakens culture, and leaves money on the table. Our team at Levin have supported 1,157 tech businesses on their hiring strategy since 2019, connecting them with the best possible talent. I’ll be sharing insights around how we support our clients on this important topic, and on our own growth journey as a business that prides itself on creating life-changing careers for graduates. 💡 So, how did this opportunity find me? 👉🏽 Angel Lorente introduced me to Jamie Goris last year. 👉🏽 I invited Jamie to Parity’s 'Women in FinTech' breakfast in February. 👉🏽 Jamie invited me to J.P. Morgan Private Bank's 'Diverse Women Think Tank' last month where I met Karina Muller, Founder of Mariposa Wellness. Karina is moderating this panel, and reached out to me directly (thank you!) 🌟 Community is a way organically attract growth opportunities. If you’re interested to learn how Parity’s network could help bring you 2 introductions closer to your 2025 objectives: 🕔 Join us for our virtual newsletter (11/21), where I’ll be talking about the goal behind our '100 Women in Tech' lists. If you attend both, that is a lot of me yapping, so apologies in advance.... and hope to see you there! Links below ⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️

In business, diversity isn’t just a value—it’s a strategy. Like the law of large numbers in statistics, diverse teams reduce risk, improve accuracy in decision-making, and deliver more reliable outcomes. When we draw from a wider range of perspectives, we get closer to perfection—innovation, resilience, and success. Startups are wise to champion this approach in the tech ecosystem. By building teams that reflect the world we live in, we create not only better companies but a stronger, more inclusive industry. Let’s embrace the numbers—and the people—behind the perfect equation. #DiversityInTech #BusinessGrowth #InnovationThroughInclusion #PowerInDiversity

Ah yes - the ongoing debate about diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) versus meritocracy. While some tech leaders argue for a shift toward "merit, excellence, and intelligence" (MEI), data actually shows that diverse teams perform better and that DEI initiatives are crucial for addressing systemic barriers and achieving true fairness. At Vantage, we believe that valuing diversity and inclusivity not only drives innovation but also creates more equitable opportunities for all. 🌍💼 #DEI #Meritocracy #TechRecruitment #DiversityMatters #ADDvantage #ADDvalue https://lnkd.in/dUWe_5xd?

SPARK THE NEXT BIG THING! ✨ Never underestimate the power of small ideas! Sharing them with like-minded individuals can transform them into something remarkable. Comffee Connect started just like this—with an idea and the will to act on it! Let's challenge ourselves to think bigger. Instead of limiting our visions, imagine creating services that extend beyond our community, city, country, continent, and even the world. We Zambians have the potential to make a global impact! So, what drives us to think bigger? Is it the desire to serve our communities or the pursuit of financial rewards? The truth is that serving communities well brings financial resources, which in turn enables us to serve even better. It's a cycle of impact and growth! So, let's shatter the boundaries of small thinking and unleash a wave of innovation and impact! Grab a cup of coffee (or tea), gather fellow change-makers, and share ideas, no matter how small they may seem. Together, let's spark a chain reaction of creativity and collaboration that propels us toward the next big thing! #innovation #community #bigideas #thenextbigthing #zambianentrepreneurs

This past week has brought headlines from the tech ecosystem that are, frankly, embarrassing for an industry meant to be leading innovation. We saw a call for more “masculine” energy in business and a rising startup, Boardy, decided it was a good idea to reduce women to their looks for a tone-deaf marketing campaign. This is unacceptable. Full stop. Here’s the reality: Women don’t just belong in tech, they excel. Women founders consistently outperform their male counterparts, delivering better ROI for investors. Yet, they continue to face business barriers and harassment that have no place in our industry or anywhere else. As an industry, we cannot allow toxic behaviors to persist. Instead of moving ahead, these actions are dragging us in the wrong direction at a critical time for growth. We need to foster a culture where innovation thrives because of inclusion, not in spite of it. Anything less stifles productivity, creativity and the progress that our industry, and society, desperately needs. Coalition of Innovation Leaders Against Racism (CILAR)
