"Do less, be more." – Elizabeth Grace Saunders Definition of Workiversary A workiversary is the anniversary of your start date at your current workplace. It's not just a date on the calendar - it's a commemoration of your journey, growth, and contributions to your team and organization. Think of it as the work equivalent of a birthday. Just like how you'd celebrate turning a year older, a workiversary is an opportunity to celebrate another year of professional growth and achievements. #February22

Meet Peggy Birk, the employee with the longest tenure at MasterBrand, Inc. While I can't predict if I'll match her remarkable 50-year milestone – considering I might be like 90 by then 🫣 – meeting her was truly inspiring. When questioned about her enduring commitment, Peggy's answer was refreshingly simple: "I love my job!" Reflecting on this, its the essence of pursuing what you're passionate about. When asked for advice on work longevity, her response was clear: "Create an environment where people love their job, and they won't miss." #CareerInspiration #PassionInWork #bestcompanytoworkfor #bestadvice #bestplacestowork #lovemyjob #anniversary #workanniversary

🌟 Coming Back Strong: Embracing the Next Chapter! 🌟 Tomorrow marks a significant milestone for me as I return to work after a year-long maternity leave. The past year has been a whirlwind of joy, growth, and challenges, but I'm beyond excited to rejoin the workforce with renewed energy and perspective. Returning to work after maternity leave isn't without its hurdles. Balancing the demands of a career with the joys of parenthood can feel overwhelming at times. Yet, it's also an opportunity for personal and professional growth unlike any other. As a new parent, I've gained a fresh outlook on time management, resilience, and the importance of self-care. Parenthood has taught me to approach challenges with patience, creativity, and a sense of humor—qualities that undoubtedly translate into the workplace. I'm eager to reconnect with my colleagues, dive back into projects, and contribute to the success of our team. While the transition may have its moments of adjustment, I'm embracing it with open arms and a readiness to tackle whatever comes my way. Here's to new beginnings, exciting opportunities, and the journey ahead. Let's make this next chapter one of growth, achievement, and shared success! 💼👶 #BackToWork #NewBeginnings #WorkingParent #ExcitedForTheFuture

It may seem like every time you come across one of my posts, we’re celebrating something—and that’s very intentional. Four years ago, I lost three key members of my core team due to a military move, retirement, and a college graduation. Coupled with the lingering effects of Covid protocols, it was an incredibly challenging time, and turnover felt constant. There were moments when it felt like there was nothing to celebrate. That’s when we made a conscious decision: to celebrate everything, no matter how small. A team member hit six months with us? We celebrated. Someone completed a task that brought them closer to their goal? Celebrate. Birthdays, new hires, anniversaries, even random Tuesdays when everyone is just happy to be alive—everything became an occasion to celebrate. At first, it was difficult to find those moments, but now we can’t stop. Our team is stronger, our culture more positive, and the energy has shifted in ways I couldn’t have imagined. Given the choice between frustration and celebration, I’ll always choose to celebrate—and it’s made all the difference. #celebrateeverything #teamculture #employeeengagement #choosecelebrationoverfrustration #getthere Synovus

Hello LinkedIn Fam! 👋 I'm thrilled to share that last week marked being back to work full-time after an incredible journey of welcoming my newest family member into the world. 🎉💼 (Thank you FreeWill for the flexibility to come back slowly) Taking time off for maternity leave was a precious chapter of my life—a time filled with endless cuddles, late-night feedings, and many moments that I'll cherish forever. But now, I'm ready and recharged to dive back into the world of sales and have more motivation than ever before! Returning to work after having a baby isn't just about rejoining the workforce—it's about embarking on a new phase of personal and professional growth. It's about striking that delicate balance between nurturing a growing family and pursuing one's career aspirations. And let me tell you, it's a journey filled with challenges, triumphs, and a whole lot of resilience. Throughout my time away, I've learned invaluable lessons that I'm excited to bring into my role. Patience, adaptability, and multitasking have become second nature, and I'm eager to apply these skills to drive success with my team at FreeWill. I'm incredibly grateful for the unwavering support of my team and colleagues during my transition back. Their encouragement and understanding have made this process seamless and empowering. To all the new parents out there navigating this journey: remember, you're not alone. It's okay to embrace the mix of emotions that come with returning to work. And always prioritize self-care and time with your little one—it's the ultimate fuel for productivity and happiness. Here's to new beginnings, exciting challenges, and the beautiful journey of parenthood. Let's do this! 💪 #BackToWork #NewBeginnings #WorkingParents #ParenthoodJourney

Did you know that January 17th was a holiday? Well, you're not alone. I have decided that there is probably a holiday for just about anything you want to celebrate nowadays. I mean anything. You want to know what one of the holidays was for the 17th (because there's a list)? 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝘿𝙞𝙩𝙘𝙝 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙉𝙚𝙬 𝙔𝙚𝙖𝙧'𝙨 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝘿𝙖𝙮 So now we're celebrating quitting? Come on! Seriously? I really think this one has gone too far in the "holiday" category! However, I also know there are a lot of people who may be ready to join in on this celebration. We are a little more than halfway through January, and statistically, many people have quit. Maybe you are one of those people! If so, I want to encourage you to give it another go! January 1st is just one day out of 365 opportunities, You can start again on any day! You set your goals, intentions, or resolutions for a reason. There was a part of you that wanted to improve something, do something new, or let go of something old. You believed you could do it! So don't quit now! Adjust your strategy. Change your approach. Renew your resolve. But don't quit!! You've done hard things before. You can do hard things again! You've got this! #dontditch #positivemindset #encouragement #goalgetter

Celebrating 7 Years of Job-Sharing! 🎉 Yesterday marked the 7-year anniversary of job-sharing with my amazing partner, Shelagh Collett . It’s been an incredible journey balancing work, life, and everything in between. We’ve become quite the dynamic duo! Why Job-Sharing Works for Us: • Double the Brainpower: Two heads really are better than one. 👥 • Work-Life Balance: We each get to focus on personal commitments without compromising our professional goals. ⚖️ • Continuous Coverage: Our projects never miss a beat. 🎶 Job-sharing has evolved and could be key to unlocking new ways of working for future generations. Whether balancing gig work, caring or volunteering responsibilities, or even those looking to retire gradually, job-sharing offers a flexible solution. Reflecting on our journey, I can’t help but smile 😃 even if I’ve been called Shelagh multiple times by colleagues - I guess that means our handover is that smooth! We’ve navigated around 7 roles including promotions, managed to get through covid and flexed our working patterns. Our kids have gone from toddlers/nursery age to tweens and teens and I’ve definitely gained a few grey hairs but I wouldn’t want to do this with anyone else! For anyone considering job-sharing, I highly recommend it. It’s been a game-changer for us and we’d happily talk to to anyone that’s considering it! #JobSharing #WorkLifeBalance #Teamwork #Anniversary #FutureOfWork #Flexibility
