Focus on the CoreTeam 2023 - 20/21 Gesine Hentschel "Within the scope of my PhD project, I develop a multiphase blood subsitute fluid, which is able to model age-related and pathological rheological and mechanical properties. The fluid should be compatible with different imaging techniques and therefore serve as a basis for the validation of numerical simulations of blood flow. I joined the CoreTeam in 2022 and support the team with planning the pitch session and the new webinar series. I am looking forward to see all of you at yESAO 2023!"

This includes the development of test stands, fluorescence microscopy, blood experiments and cell-repellent nanostructuring. The yESAO in Bergamo motivated me to join the Core Team in 2024."
