A Record-Breaking Performance! 🎯 On May 9th, 2024, during #ChallengeRoth, the world’s largest long-distance triathlon, Jonas Deichmann embarked on a monumental mission: to complete one full triathlon every day for 120 days. Yesterday night, he crossed that finish line, setting a new world record! But this journey wasn’t just about physical endurance - it was about pushing boundaries and demonstrating what can be accomplished with the right support. #yfood was at Jonas' side during the process, providing the nutrition he needed to power through each day. While Jonas conquered 3.8 km of swimming, 180 km of cycling, and 42 km of running daily, our ready-to-drink meals provided his body with the essential nutrients required to recover and keep going, again and again. With 14 hours of daily training and every free minute dedicated eating or sleeping, every second was crucial - whether during a quick haircut in the transition zone or in the afternoon break to meet his calorie needs. We’re proud to have been a part of this extraordinary journey, proving that with the right mindset and support, anything is possible. Congratulations, Jonas! Here’s to many more records 💥

🏆 Triathlon Enthusiasts, Take Note! 🏆 The Olympic Triathlon is not just any race; it's a showcase of endurance, strategy, and sheer willpower. But it's the run course that often turns the tide and can decide who takes home the gold. Envision racers pushing their limits after already completing the swim and bike segments, now tackling a grueling run that tests their resolve and stamina like nothing else. 👟💥 From personal experience, the transition from cycling to running is one of the most challenging aspects of triathlon. Your legs feel like jelly, your heart is racing, and then you're expected to run at top speed! It's like asking your car to switch from fifth gear straight into first. It's tough, it's brutal, but oh, so thrilling! Why does this make the run course a crucial segment? Simply put, this is where mental toughness comes into play. Athletes must dig deep, rally their energy, and sprint towards the finish line. 🤔 Have you ever experienced this "jelly legs" sensation? Or perhaps conquered your own personal "run course" in life or work? How did you push through when everything in you said, "I can't"? Let's cheer for those who face these incredible triathlon challenges head-on. What is the appeal in triathlon? People often ask me this. It’s hard to give a hard and fast answer, but I’ll give it my best shot. On the one hand, if you can say you’ve completed a triathlon that will raise eyebrows among everyone you meet. They’ll either be impressed by your athleticism, or they’ll have experience themselves they want to discuss either way you. However, very few of us got into the sport to impress others. Truth be told, triathlon is just fun. You have swimming, cycling, running, strength, mobility/flexibikity and nutrition to develop. You’re not spending your whole life trying to run marathons slightly faster or add 2KG to your snatch, there’s an enormous amount of variety and endless individual, challenging races to try. It also does wonders for your self esteem. One minute you’re struggling to swim 100M nonstop in the pool, then within a couple of years you can be within the top 50% of your age group over a 3800M sea swim. Crossing my first triathlon finish line transformed me as a person. I went from being depressed, awkward and frustrated to holding my head high and learning to love life again. If you want to find out what all the fuss is about, no matter your ability, DM me the word “triathlon”.

🎉 If you can dream it, you can train for it and achieve it! And I'm excited to share that I have completed my first triathlon!!! This achievement symbolises passion, perseverance, commitment, and consistency. I only learned how to swim last year. Although I have completed two marathons, running after a ride presents a different challenge. The cycling portion is also tough, with hills and steep descents to navigate. The diversity in triathlon training—switching between swimming, cycling, and running—keeps things exciting and prevents monotony. It challenges both my mind and body in new ways. At work, I thrive on different challenges, and triathlons reflect that same dynamic. The constant need to adapt, improve, and push beyond my limits resonates deeply with me. I think I will do more triathlons next year and fewer marathons. It was good fun, and I enjoyed every second of it. So, what's next? My goal is to improve even more in the next one. 💪🏽 🏊♂️ 🚲 🏃🏽♂️ #triathlon #passion #perseverance #commitment #consistency

Ironman is not triathlon, and triathlon is not Ironman. Ironman is a company, not a distance or sport. They run great events, and were the original 226KM triathlon, but there is a whole world out there beyond their events. On the one hand there are shorter distances, the sprint and Olympic. A sprint triathlon on a weekend can create less fatigue than a long run, doing one a month can help you improve throughout the year. Secondly, you have independent race organisers offering the same distances you get at Ironman. You may be sharing the roads with traffic, there won't be as many aid stations and the crowds will be much smaller, but they're often half the price of an Ironman. These are run by passionate race organisers instead of a corporate franchise, which brings its own pros and cons. However, I have spoken to dozens of athletes who weren't even aware there were other event organisers offering that distance. I've done two Ironman events and both were a great experience, but I've done dozens of smaller races which also bought just as big of a smile to my face, with more dates available throughout the year, and more local to me. Broaden your horizons in 2025 and look for other races you can target.

🚴♂️🏊♂️🏃♂️ Sam Long's inspiring performance at IRONMAN Frankfurt is a masterclass in resilience and tenacity - a testament to what it takes to compete at the highest levels of triathlon. Triathlon isn't just a test of physical fitness; it’s a relentless challenge to one’s mental grit and determination. Recently, Sam “Big Unit” Long displayed an extraordinary display of resilience at IRONMAN Frankfurt. Despite not clinching the top spot, his spirit and vigour in overcoming each segment were nothing short of heroic. I remember the first triathlon I ever competed in—I thought I was well-prepared but nothing could have prepared me for the mental battle I faced. Like Sam, I learned that it is not just about how fast you swim, cycle, or run, but how you handle pressure, adapt to unforeseen challenges, and push through the pain barrier. Sam’s ordeal at IRONMAN Frankfurt is a resonant reminder: success isn’t always about winning, but about pushing your limits and emerging stronger, no matter where you finish. 💪 What’s your IRONMAN experience? Have you faced challenges that pushed you to your limits but came out stronger? Let’s celebrate our journeys of resilience. 🏊🏼♂️🚴🏼🏃🏼Just finished my first sprint triathlon, and what an incredible journey it's been! 📚 A few months ago, I picked up a book called Built to Finish by Steven Pivnik, a successful entrepreneur and endurance athlete. His passion for triathlons made the sport seem not only fun but also doable. Inspired by his story, I decided to take the plunge and signed up for my first triathlon. Training for this event was a game-changer. The variety of disciplines—swimming, biking, and running—kept me engaged and motivated. I was never bored, always excited for the next workout. The race day atmosphere was electric, and I loved every moment of it. Crossing that finish line was a moment of pure joy and accomplishment. Books have the power to transform our lives in surprising and wonderful ways. Thanks to Built to Finish, I've discovered a new passion and set a new goal. I've already signed up for another triathlon in three months and have started training to set a new personal record. If you're looking for a spark of inspiration or a new adventure, pick up a book. You never know where it might lead you! 📖 Shoutout to Reid Tileston and James Lawrence for some additional inspiration. Your books have been great! #Triathlon #EnduranceTraining #BookRecommendations #PersonalGrowth #BuiltToFinish #StevenPivnik #LifelongLearning #NewGoals

Translation Agency for Cycling and Endurance Sports | CEO @ Endurance Translations | Cyclist | Triathlete | 2x Ironman Finisher | Aspiring Giraffe
T-minus 6 days to the Ironman 70.3 Warsaw, but I already know it's going to be slow one… There's a saying in the military: "no plan survives first contact wit the enemy". Well, in triathlon it should say: "no plan survives contact with a 3-year-old". These past few months have been disappointing, training-wise. I've missed a lot of workouts, had to battle poor sleeping patterns, have been ill more than ever in the last 20 years and the last real progress I've made was in March… But this is my 8th triathlon season and I've seen it all: self-coaching, great preparation with a coach and poor race performance, injury-riddled preparation that ended in a great race, DNS-races, seasons when everything went spectacularly well… The key here is to manage expectations and have a backup plan. Like when at Endurance Translations we always build in buffers and contingencies into projects for when things go wrong. So while I was hoping to hit 4:40 or lower at this years Ironman 70.3 Warsaw, I've decided to just enjoy it. Easy swim, followed by a decent but not breakneck bike and then a fun run. No expectations on time, pace or wattage. ⁉️⁉️And what do you do when things don't go according to plan? Stick to it or pivot?⁉️⁉️ #triathlon #cycling #race #mentality

👏 Triumph over Adversity! Meet Iain Dawson, a visually impaired triathlete who recently conquered the Norseman Xtreme Triathlon, one of the most grueling endurance races globally. 🏊♂️🚴♂️🏃♂️ The Norseman is not just any triathlon—it's an extreme test of human limits involving swimming in icy waters, biking through tough terrains, and running up steep trails. What makes Iain's achievement truly remarkable is his ability to face these challenges without full sight, illustrating the incredible potential of human spirit and determination. ✨ This story hits close to home for me as it reminds me of my cousin who, despite her physical limitations, never gave up on her dreams of dancing professionally. Like Iain, her journey is a testament to the fact that barriers are often just stepping stones for greater achievements. 🔥 Why does this matter to us on LinkedIn? It's a powerful reminder that perseverance and resilience can redefine what's possible in both personal and professional realms. It encourages us all to rethink our perceived limitations and strive for what seems just out of reach. ❓ What's the biggest personal or professional hurdle you've overcome? How has it shaped your approach to challenges? #Inspiration #Resilience #Triathlon #EnduranceSports #OvercomingAdversity Let's celebrate these stories of courage and relentless pursuit of goals no matter the odds! 💪🔥🌟 Discover more tips, insights, and resources by visiting our site at https://lnkd.in/g_3qNyyQ

The video I wish I had seen before I started Triathlon. Tim Reed from RPG coaching explains what stops most people from starting, and completely over complicating the sport. Day one of my triathlon journey I spent tens of thousands of dollars on equipment. And signed up for a full distance Ironman. I’d never ridden a “proper” cycling bike, I had never done a lap of a pool and I hate sharks. So I signed up from cairns Ironman 3.8km ocean swim, 180km hilly ride, 42km run - lol Bought 2 bikes, a treadmill, a million pairs of fancy shoes and all the thousands other things you can buy for triathlon. It can be a crazy expensive sport and suck up a lot of time. But as Tim explains here, it can be planned around your life and you can use simple available equipment without going overboard (like me) Best decision Iv ever made starting the sport, I broke though a lot of mental and physical barriers. Ps - still hate swimming though 😂 #buyersagent #realestate #business #investment #investmentproperty #propertyinvestment #renovation #development #fitness #running #health #wealth #family #strongertogether #wealthcreation #powercouple #wealthy https://lnkd.in/ernAGJen

The IRONMAN triathlon is not hard. It's not the event in and of itself that is the challenge but simply the will to do it. Often, we perceive challenges as the hurdles themselves—the grueling distance of an IRONMAN triathlon, a marathon, the daunting climb of a mountain, or the seemingly insurmountable tasks in our personal and professional lives. However, the true challenge lies not in the external circumstances but within ourselves. It is your determination, resolve, and willingness to push forward daily that define your ability to overcome obstacles, to go through the journey, and get to the start line of an IRONMAN that is what is hard. To the athletes of the 2024 IRONMAN FRANCE who didn't quit along the way. WE SEE YOU!
