As part of the soil protection (mountain flood) there are a large variation of mountain plants, with their physical viciousness to the rocks and by their roots on the top soil. Their existence in the mountains can a part of soil protection.
Tropical Cyclone Jasper swept through Australia in December, bringing heavy flooding and considerable damage. What if we could predict these floods and mitigate their impact?
Check out our recent post to learn how FloodMapp ForeCast can offer accurate, timely flood predictions, helping emergency management agencies streamline their response and enhance public safety.

🫴 The following part of the tutorial focuses on assessing and understanding the aftermath of wildfires to evaluate the impact on ecosystems, infrastructure, and communities. It explores methods for evaluating post-wildfire damage comprehensively: https://lnkd.in/dpncriij
✔️ This video tutorial is part of the TREEADS project that has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 101036926". Wildfire restoration involves understanding wildfire impacts, importance of restoration, and related legislation. 🌎
👉 Assessing post-wildfire damage includes evaluating severity, soil erosion, and habitat loss. Techniques for restoration involve erosion control and revegetation. Reforestation technologies cover nursery practices and direct seeding. Monitoring restored areas assesses success and implements long-term management practices.

Safe infrastructure is really common sense and the just and fair prioritisation of the safety of cyclists.
The growing number of cyclist being injured or killed compels us to identify and reduce the inherent risk we have ‘built in’ to the environment- such as insufficient protection from vehicles, and narrow, disconnected and/or poor quality facilities.
This is even more pressing as populations age (along with demographic trends), as we push young people to chose more active and sustainable modes, as we foster the growth of food delivery and other new sectors using cycling… I could list so many more.
The solutions aren’t a mystery… or radical. We know what works. We’ve just got to do it, and importantly, give it the immediate attention it deserves.
