7: Research Proposal for PhD:
What topic will you investigate and what’s the reason behind it?
What does the existing research on this subject look like?
What methods will you employ for your research?
What outcomes do you anticipate, and how will your study contribute to the existing knowledge base?
8: Publications: For those with a low GPA, consider co-authoring a publication. If you’re unable to write an article yourself, collaborate with someone who can. You can contribute by researching literature, analyzing data, or collecting data. As a co-author, you’ll gain valuable experience and move closer to your goals.
9: Faith in God Almighty.
This is a key strategy to boost your scholarship prospects by 2024.
Please see this for USA and Canada.
1: For universities in the USA, submit your application early, preferably in the first week the admission process opens. This indicates that you’ve completed your research and made your university selections.
2: For Master’s and PhD programs in the USA: Identify a potential professor/supervisor from your department’s course page, focusing on those whose specialties align with your research plan. Contact them with a cold email, ensuring you’ve researched them thoroughly. Include a well-crafted motivation letter, CV, and research proposal if available.
Apply to multiple schools and reach out to various supervisors, as relying on just one can be risky. Start this process now, as the priority period for funding and admission runs from September to November, and you don’t want to miss early deadlines.
3: Regardless of your GPA, particularly for Low GPA, it’s beneficial to take online courses relevant to your intended field of study. Acquiring skills in software tools expected in your future course can provide a significant advantage.
Additionally, it’s highly recommended to participate in volunteer organizations, particularly those aligned with your prospective course of study. If such specific organizations aren’t available, opt for any with an online presence and a focus on SDGs.
4: Ensure you take key exams such as the SAT for undergraduate programs, and GMAT/GRE, IELTS for further studies. Even if they aren’t mandatory, these tests can significantly enhance your application. Although they might be waived, it is encouraged for those with low GPAs.
