We are so excited to announce that Mollie Guba and Isabel Epistelomogi from YIP’s Education Team have been accepted to present at the 2024 National Council for the Social Studies (NCSS) Annual Conference in Boston this November! The #NCSS Conference is the biggest social studies conference in the country! Our team will showcase their study “The Effects of Discourse-Based, Non-Partisan Civic Activities on Student Engagement, Polarization, and Understanding of Political Issues” Together, they will be presenting the Education Department’s discourse-based, student-created high school #civics curriculum as well as the team’s research on the effectiveness of discourse-based methods in civic classrooms, previously showcased at the College Board’s 2023 AP Annual Conference.
