Traveling and leaving your minor child behind? In Arizona, a Delegation of Parental Power allows you to nominate someone to make emergency decisions for your child in your absence, such as medical care or educational issues. These documents provide temporary power and are valid for six months. Remember to re-execute one before each trip. These are very effective ways to make sure your child is protected while you’re not able to be there. Don't forget to get one in place before your next trip!✈️👶 #powerofattorney #familylawadvice #estateplan #familylaw #travelsafe #parentssupport #parentsforfuture #parentsandkids #legalservices #estateplanningattorney

HR / People Operations Executive | Driving Excellence in People & Culture | Trusted HR Partner | Elevating HR Shared Services, Talent Management, and Technology
Radical & Authentic Post. I have 2 kids with special needs, and a highly special needs grandson, their family has been going through some struggles also known as "the ebb and flow of life". In this journey they are on she has come to rely on the local city, county and national .gov resources to include enforcement of protection orders, understanding the VAWA 💜 as it relates to lease transfer, Eviction Prevention and Legal Support, DES (Department of Economic Security), Child Welfare Services, working with the school community liaison, police advocacy & partnership and the list goes on. The system to get support is there, but as an empowering mom and close observer, it is not easy to navigate if you are learning disabled, have dyslexia, ADHD, PTSD and are just trying to survive this "phase" while working and raising 2 kids on your own. Can you imagine? I can. It is through countless calls, outreach to Medicaid, .gov sites, that you need to track and keep tabs on - humbling yourself for transitional aid and support for you and your family. This is all to say - there is 👼 help out there. But it does not come with an instruction guide - often times people are so knee deep in the emotional chaos of what is happening that they just give up, don't know where to go, or how to get beyond this current moment. Caught between devistation and despair. Recently a post was shared with a go fund me link to prevent homelessness, and my heart sank - it is a plea for help - because the person is between jobs, claims, and is desperate. I thought do they know what's out there? How can I help when I'm watching my own child go through this. I can share hope, and what I've learned. Here are some links also worth bookmarking to those impacted by RIFs, illness, or transition - or who don't know where to go, maybe you are stuck in the "in between" while living in the land of the free. So, I post, because just like searching for a job is a honed skill, so is searching for support & government #assistance. I hope these help you they way they have helped my daughter's family. 🆘 211 Crisis Support is a great number to have - they can also provide resources if you don't have access to internet, a computer, etc. You can call ☎ 211 - they will be there to listen, and hear you out. The humanity on the other end of the line, is priceless. When life throws a curveball, you can duck and miss or in some cases catch and release. Just know your situation is not unique, and there are some great programs to help those less fortunate. Having a positive attitude is not enough, thought it helps. https://lnkd.in/gFetj6Qv can point you in the right direction for #housinghelp #foodassistance #socialservices Check out the Listing by State here https://lnkd.in/g-8_Cv8y. If you are in need of #support and just don't know where to go - please know it is OK to ask. No Judgment, just one hand 🤝 reaching out to another. Sharing is caring.
