One of our "Analyze tier 📈" customers shared this screenshot from their Hubspot while we were having our monthly demo catchup. It actually made me giddy with excitement. They bump lead scores if the prospect has visited the demo page, and then give an additional score if the prospect has viewed a demo to completion. 😍 It's a great example of why choosing an interactive demo gives marketers more concrete evidence of prospect intent. The people who have viewed their demos to completion aren't "half-watching" a video, they're experiencing and understanding the product in a real way. We workshopped how they can add more points if they've viewed multiple demos, which ties in nicely with the HowdyGo demo center they've recently added to their website. It's a collection of feature demos for the 2nd most popular aspects of their product. So far 21% of people are viewing a second demo on their demo center🏅, so I'm excited to see where this goes for them.

An AE in my org is running a masterclass on proof-of-concept execution. Here’s my favorite part: “Demo time stamps” included in the mutual action plan that link to the part of the demo showing that functionality. Here’s why I love it: 1) Tells me our demo was effective Too many demos are generic. This AE made sure the demo was a perfect lead-in to the proof-of-concept by making the demo a detailed preview of the POC. 2) Boosts customer confidence Nothing says “Yeah, we can do this POC” like “As a reminder, here’s where we showed you this works.” 3) Easy executive visibility Executives don’t often get directly involved with proof-of-concepts. This rep made sure they had visible evidence of our solution’s fit with easy-to-access demo snippets. Proof-of-concepts/trials often become, “Here’s your login, let us know what you think!” Michael Dunne is showing what great looks like and he’s just getting started at LaunchDarkly - big things to come for him!

⛰ Let's talk about elevating our product demos and refining our discovery questions. Lately, I've noticed a trend where we’re leaning on generic questions like, “Does that make sense?” or “Any questions?” While these may seem harmless, they do little to engage our buyers and can even push them away. Instead, let’s focus on helping prospects visualize themselves as customers long before they make a purchase. ❓ Ask questions that encourage them to picture their success with your product, such as: “How do you envision using this?” “What’s the first project you see this platform transforming?” “How will you measure success?” "Does your company prefer to see [metric] or [metric] when calculating ROI?" These targeted questions not only deepen the conversation but also help buyers see the value in your solution—before they’re even customers. Let’s make every demo count.
