French supermarket Carrefour to trial payment by… the palm of your hand 🖐🏼 The technology - developed by payment terminal specialist Ingenico - works by ‘palm biometrics’ and uses the veins in your hand to validate the payment. The technology is already used by retail giant Amazon in its Whole Foods Market shops in the US and is also used in China, usually via the brand Wechat Palm Pay. Interesting! I suppose that eah customer palms must be enrolled before (to authentify him when paying)... Who does manage/protect this sensitive data? It will maybe take à little more time in Europe to use/deploy this solution...
