Certainly! Let’s discuss the YouTube video titled “Dia De Los Muertos” by Team Whoo Kazoo and Ringling College of Art and Design. 🎥 Overview: The video is a CGI 3D animated short film that explores the theme of Dia De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead), a Mexican holiday celebrating departed loved ones. It follows a girl who embarks on a magical journey to the land of the dead, where she meets her ancestors and learns about their legacy and culture. 🌟 Strengths: Visuals: The animation quality is impressive, capturing the vibrant colors and intricate details associated with Dia De Los Muertos. Emotional Connection: The film successfully conveys the emotional depth of the holiday, emphasizing family bonds and remembrance. 🚀 Areas for Improvement: Narrative Pacing: While the film is concise (3 minutes), some scenes could benefit from smoother transitions to maintain engagement. Character Development: Expanding on the girl’s backstory or her interactions with her ancestors could enhance viewer empathy. Soundtrack: A memorable original score or carefully chosen music could elevate the emotional impact. 🌈 Suggestions for Future Videos: Diverse Storytelling: Explore other cultural celebrations or unique themes to engage a broader audience. Collaboration: Consider collaborating with musicians or sound designers to enhance audio elements. Audience Engagement: Encourage viewers to share their own Dia De Los Muertos memories or traditions in the comments. Remember, storytelling and emotional resonance are key in creating compelling content. Keep experimenting and connecting with your audience! 🎬✨

Emotion is the secret weapon in storytelling, whether it's branding or film, and nothing captures that better than the perfect marriage of music and visuals. Think about your favorite movie moments—it’s not just what you saw, but how the music made you feel that sticks with you. That emotional hit is what makes stories, and brands, unforgettable. Take Despicable Me 3 and Spider-Verse for example. Pharrell’s "Double Life" became more than just a catchy tune; it mirrored Gru’s struggle balancing villain and hero, etching that turmoil into our minds. Likewise, Metro Boomin’s "Am I Dreaming" in Across the Spider-Verse captured Miles Morales’ internal struggle, making his journey as vivid and memorable as the soundtrack itself. The same goes for branding. When a brand taps into emotion, it doesn’t just make a connection—it leaves a lasting imprint. Just like a great soundtrack deepens a film’s impact, a brand that aligns its message with a story or feeling creates a bond that lasts. By harnessing that emotional pull, brands ensure their message resonate far beyond the first encounter, building loyalty that endures. #Branding #Storytelling #MusicInFilm #EmotionalConnection #Retention #Pharrell #MetroBoomin #DespicableMe #SpiderVerse

First-Hand Exploration of AI-Powered Animation After spending over two years teaching myself animation, it was both exciting and a bit unsettling to create an entire song and accompanying video in just a few hours using AI tools. While it's amazing how far the technology has come, there are still plenty of challenges. Image consistency isn’t always accurate, and it took numerous generations just to get close to what I envisioned. The animations themselves aren’t perfect either – parts sometimes merge where they shouldn't, and unexpected new elements appear. No matter how much I tried, I couldn’t quite replicate the character I had in mind. (In fact I gave up and only used the still images and one animation moving scene. Will try again for moving animations) The song creation was definitely the most exciting part, but even that took several takes before I was happy with the result. In the end, while it’s fun and much quicker to create content with AI, if you really want to bring your unique story and imagination to life, there’s still a lot of manual work involved. The AI might speed things up, but it's not quite at the point where it can fully replace the creative process. That said, it's interesting to see what can be achieved with these tools, even if they're not quite perfect yet! https://lnkd.in/gAiBw5nW #AI #Animation #AICreativity #AIVideo #DigitalArt #ContentCreation #Creativity #TechInnovation #ArtificialIntelligence #VideoProduction #CreativeProcess #TechInDesign #Storytelling #DigitalInnovation #FutureOfWork #AnimationJourney

Just wrapped on shooting a couple of keynotes for an awesome new client. I always love hearing people speak from their passion. It’s moving. It’s inspiring. It’s why I love what I do! Question: If you were asked to deliver a Keynote tomorrow, what would you speak on? I’ll go first: we are all artist, and we must learn to create our art. #createyourart

Y'all, I’ve got news, and I think you'll like this one. Ready? You don’t HAVE to make a TikTok. 😱 Yep. You don’t have to chase trends, post YouTube shorts, or pull off awkward dances. You don’t need to prank your partner for the views. (If you don’t want to, of course). There’s more than one way to promote your brand, your art, or your services. And here's the kicker—it can still be you. We keep hearing that word: authenticity. If something feels off or forced, don’t do it. Let your work speak. Create around what you actually vibe with. Maybe that’s a killer graphic, a fun BTS snapshot, or a trailer that pulls people into your world. Don’t just follow trends. Build your own narrative. 🎬🎨 Cool video from a creator that talks about his "lightbulb" moment. Realizing you can sell like an artist. If you want to. 🎥 Check it out: https://lnkd.in/eSPCSWWJ
