I was a 28 year old husband/father of 2/college student/OEF vet/National guardsman/weekend Lyft driver with a background in drilling wells, fixing windmills, and removing IEDs. My finances were a mess from debt to how I was invested, to what type insurance I had. I was going to be in debt for the next 35 years and was guaranteed to work until I was in my mid 70s. My wife and I knew that our marriage and our kids deserved more. We had dreams. We knew that what we were doing wouldn’t get us there. One of us was always gone, sometimes both of us at the same time. Not anymore. We now have 3 amazing kids with a 4th on the way, and we never miss an event. We made the decision to work hard for a short amount of time so that we don’t have to clock in for the next 40-50 years, and we knew that that effort will have a lasting impact on every person we come into contact with. I’m looking for people. People who are tired of working for the weekend. People who know there is more out there for them. People who want to disrupt the status quo. Today marks a very special and memorable day for the founders of Qelem Meda Technologies(QMT). It is a day of reflection, one where we look back at the challenges we've faced, the personal and organizational setbacks, and the moments when failure seemed inevitable. Each of us has encountered our own obstacles, from dealing with the fear of the unknown to facing the socialization challenges that often come with building something from the ground up. Yet, despite these difficulties, we have found strength in one another and in the shared vision that drives us forward.
