What is base training: Base training forms a key part of a successful program. When we talk about aerobic base training we are normally referring to a phase of training where the primary focus is to development our aerobic fitness, efficiency and conditioning. To put it simply, we are trying to prepare the body for a higher workload later on in the training cycle so that we do not risk injuring ourselves doing something that our bodies are not yet ready for. For runners in particular, this period of time is a perfect opportunity to gradually increase overall weekly mileage.

Do you need all the bells and whistles to achieve your movement goals?? While certain equipment definitely has its benefits, the majority of members that I have trained at our Bootcamp’s lack fundamental movements when they first join. Whether it’s an air squat, push up, or a regressed chin up version, these are just some of the basics that I see performed consistently with inadequate mobility and strength. As a beginner fitness program, I’ve found that equipment is not the be all and end all…. ☝️ Don’t be fooled by #gyms that #claim to have the “worlds best” personal #trainers or #coaches. From what I know, they are usually the furthest thing from that. It’s a very unoriginal tag like that can dupe some people into investing hard earned #money at these places only to realise (hopefully) that they are getting far from the world's best but at best a very average #experience! #fitnesstraining #fitnesstrainer #fitnesscoach #fitnessjourney #bodybuilding #bodybuilder #workout #gym #wellness #healthandwellness
