Is it better to have LDs in the projects? Neil Schulman, Adjunct Professor, in this course says that as a contractor, having liquidated damages (LDs) in a contract is better than not having them, " because then, if I was late through my own problems, then I would only be subject to the amount of the LDs, whether it's 1000 a day or 2000 a day. If the LDs weren't there, I would be subject to actual damages, and actual damages sometimes can be very costly, much more than traditional LDs." #Project_Management
