Did you know? Young Life officially began international ministry in 1953 when we sent our first overseas missionaries to France. Over the next 65 years, we witnessed our international work slowly grow, with various victories and setbacks along the way. Momentum gathered at the turn of the century and since 2018 we’ve been ministering to more kids outside the U.S. than inside!

SAMO, a prominent NGO and media entity, operates 89 partner radio stations across Afghanistan's 34 provinces, reaching over 20 million citizens. Nasir, who assumed leadership of SAMO in 2012 after returning from Canada, holds extensive experience in policy and program roles, including with Citizenship and Immigration Canada. He oversaw SAMO's expansion from 36 to its current size. Nasir was awarded World University Service of Canada (WUSC) in 2001 to pursue his studies in Canada.
