Attracting great people to your organization gets a lot easier with at least one of the following: 1) Interesting and important work. Your business is at the cutting edge of something people care about, or at least helps people in some meaningful way. 2) A company culture that respects its employees, which usually translates to higher-than-average tenure. This isn’t a perfect signal, but it’s a decent proxy. This means a lot of things, but in general, people feel respected and are able to improve themselves by being part of your organization. 3) A clear and communicated direction. People don’t want to join, or be part of, a rudderless ship. If you can do all of these things, you’ll be way ahead on the hardest part of building a successful company: hiring and retaining employees. The great thing about hiring is that awesome people tend to attract other awesome people. It's worth your time to think about ways of improving in these areas. What did I miss?

Absolutely spot on! 👏 Building a strong team and fostering a great culture begins with hiring the right people. A big shoutout to Chris Donnelly for this timely reminder. The best people we recruited: 👉 Delivered results consistently 👉Stayed above the fray, avoiding unnecessary drama 👉Supported each other through thick and thin 👉Brought humor and positivity to the workplace 👉Communicated with transparency and honesty 👉Were committed to continuous learning and improvement 👉Put the team’s success above individual ego We’d like to add a few more qualities to this list: ↳ Act with unwavering integrity ↳ Show genuine empathy ↳ Embrace and act on feedback ↳ Take full ownership of responsibilities Hiring isn’t just a task; it’s a leader’s most crucial responsibility. The people we welcome into our organizations define our success and shape our future. What qualities do you think are essential for building a dream team? #AgileConnection #TeamWork #recruitment #Recruiter #StaffingSolution #Hiring #Growth

🚨 Innovative Hiring Policy Idea! 🚨 As I reflected over the weekend, I developed a hiring policy that I believe could transform how companies build teams and empower employees. This isn't just a theory—it's a passion project based on my experiences as both a candidate and a Fortune 500 hiring manager. It's bold, it’s ambitious, and while it won’t be without its challenges, I truly believe it could drive greater employee ownership and cultural impact in any company willing to take it on. I’m sharing this with you because I want to spark a conversation around reinventing recruitment. Maybe some companies are already doing something like this—if so, I’d love to know! And if not, let’s brainstorm together on how we can bring this to life. Would love to hear your thoughts, feedback, and insights! Let’s start a dialogue that could shape the future of hiring. #HiringInnovation #Leadership #CompanyCulture #FutureOfWork #CareerGrowth #RecruitingTransformation #MondayMotivation #recruiting

Could I agree more on how important it is for the #toptalent #highpotentials and #highperformers to do something meaningful than barely scratch the surface? I second every word here of Viraj Mehta and affirm from my own observations that top talent is: a) hungry to learn and expand: they want to triumph over themselves every day and want to be around others who are constantly learning as that is stimulating to them as against being surrounded by activities with no true purpose. b) averting negative and unproductive experiences: they leave flat any experience/activity that doesn't level up or creates a toxic environment. The top of Maslow's Hierchy of Needs (self actualization)appeals to them at all times and hence they tend to focus on individual #EmployeeExperience and #CompanyMorale. c) Passionate: they are passionate about how their work makes a difference and love being around others who are their 'tribe', who are driven to succeed and make a difference and above all those who have a vision. Getting and then appealing (creating a culture that's truly meaningful to) these set of people is onerous but once retained successfully, they are as good as putting your #PBT and growth on auto pilot.

#ShortcutToSuccess When building a winning team, spend disproportionate amount of time finding top talent. Because top talent would gladly work with other top talents without comparison and build amazing stuff for the business. No top talent wants to waste time being among mediocre talent, they are hungry for learning from their peers, stay away from gossips and passionate about what they are building. So if you want to win, spend extra time but never compromise on quality of talent you are hiring.

Ever wondered how top talent can transform your team? We all talk about it and there are some obvious impacts, though I would love to hear about the not-so-obvious ones too!! ✔ Attracting Excellence: Recruiting top talent brings in individuals with exceptional skills, experience, and fresh perspectives. Their expertise can elevate the team’s overall capabilities, foster innovation, and drive better results. By attracting top performers, you create a positive ripple effect that raises the bar for everyone. ✔ Cultural Impact: Top talent often embodies the desired organizational culture. When you hire individuals who align with your values, work ethic, and collaborative spirit, they become cultural ambassadors. Their influence can shape team dynamics, boost morale, and create a cohesive environment where everyone thrives. ✔ Knowledge Transfer and Mentorship: High-performing team members serve as mentors and role models. They share insights, best practices, and industry knowledge with their colleagues. This knowledge transfer accelerates learning, improves decision-making, and fosters a continuous learning culture within the team. Remember, investing in top talent isn’t just about filling positions; it’s about building a powerhouse team that propels your organization forward! Is there anything you would add? Have you worked in a top performing team? What are your takeaways? #recruitment #hiring #talent

"WE CAN'T FIND GOOD PEOPLE!" Have you ever heard these words? Have you ever said them? If so, you have a "people problem". Too many businesses have not been intentional enough on building a culture that is MAGNETIC. These are companies who turn more folks away than they hire. They sort through dozens and even hundreds of candidates before they choose the right fit. They hire from a position of strength instead of desperation and weakness. What are you doing to build a culture that attracts high-caliber folks? #askgreatquestions #culture #hiring

As recruiters, we often work behind the scenes, connecting talent with opportunities. It’s a role that requires patience, resilience, and a deep understanding of both people and business needs. 💙💛 We don’t always get the recognition we deserve, and feedback from hiring managers can sometimes be sparse. However, when we do receive that positive feedback, it truly makes our day all the brighter! 👏 Just today, I had a hiring manager take the time to send a message of appreciation. They acknowledged the effort of a single "Good luck" message to the candidate and the way it helped the candidate already feel a part of the team. It was a reminder of why we do what we do – to make a difference in people’s lives and help organizations grow. Even if we do not get to move forward with the candidate, we need to continue to foster that sense of belonging! Let’s continue to #support each other and celebrate the wins, big and small. #IKEA #recruitment #recruiting #feedback #culture #values
