Are you applying to graduate school? Check out these 3 types of funding options available to you: 1. Apply to advertised PhD positions. Sites like findaphd. com, academic transfer, academic positions etc. enlist thousands of labs that are currently hiring students. You will receive a stipend for your living expenses, and a tuition waiver. This funding generally comes from professor’s research grants. 2. If you didn’t find an advertised vacancy, go to a specific department website and shortlist the faculty members with whom your research interests overlap. Send them a cold-email highlighting your desire to work with them, and asking if they have funds to support you. 3. Apply to university-sponsored fellowships/external fellowships enlisted on the FUNDING and AID section of the university website. Some cover both tuition and living expenses, while others might cover just one of them. Bonus idea: Connect with the graduate school coordinator and enquire if they know about scholarships/funding opportunity you may be eligible to apply for. Also, connect with the alumni of this program on Linkedin and existing students to see how they secured funding for their studies. You will be surprised to see how willing these people are to help you out with your applications and funding quest. Just get out there & a sea of opportunities is waiting for you! #phd #fullyfunded #scholarship #scholarshipopportunity #fullyfundedscholarships
