Very, very true. I spend a lot of time thinking about what it will be like when my kids enter to world of work in a few years time. I don’t believe in all this “manifesting” rubbish. It’s a too flippant way to describe having goals and working hard. I always feel it makes it too easy just to tell yourself you’ll be a millionaire one day, then get disappointed the next week that you aren’t…because you say it out loud doesn’t mean it’ll happen. I am obviously of an age where things were different to what they are now. My whole school journey was set out for me from the start. I did GCSEs, I wanted to do A levels, then Uni. I never thought about a career until I was leaving education at 22. They expect kids to have an idea at 13 nowadays when they are choosing their options at school. The expectation is that they’ll leave school at 16 and do apprenticeship or college then be working at 18. I’m all for that, some of the best people who I work alongside have done just that. However, Uni was about the experience for me, and much less about the learning. I was lucky not to have to pay tuition fees (they came in just after me), but also my parents didn’t get a grant as it was means tested…so it wasn’t “free” or paid for on a massive student loan (I left with £2k of debt, not the £20k+ that many have nowadays). I was very fortunate timing wise. I didn’t have a clue what career I wanted to do until I was in final year at Uni when we had 1 careers lecture. The message was 60% of you in this auditorium (of 300+) will become accountants - mainly at big 4….this was a sobering thought 😟. I succumbed, and followed in my dad’s footsteps, becoming a FCA. I consciously didn’t go and work with him (ever) and made my own way. I was consistent and worked hard every day, right from the start. I actually loved what I did back then right from the start…..I do now, it’s just a totally different day job to what I was doing then. I did 3 more years of study, whilst working full time, and eventually qualified at 25, with 11 GCSEs, 5 A Levels, 2 degrees (a BSc & a Masters) and became a Chartered Accountant. All that hard work. Every. Day. You don’t have to be the very best, or have amazing natural talent. You just need to show up, work hard every day, be grateful for what you’ve acheived and face forwards. Do this consistently, every day, and it will all work out. No matter what you chose as a career. There will be bright days and dark days, and there’s always greener grass somewhere, and decisions to be made, but if you enjoy where you are and what you do, then those decisions will make themselves. Next month will mark 28 years since I stepped through the doors of Waltons Business Advisers & Chartered Accountants as the newest trainee. I don’t regret a day of it. I just hope and pray my kids will find the same happiness, because in the end, that’s all life is about isn’t it? Worth remembering at whatever stage of your career you are at 👍

❤️ I love this from Steven Bartlett. I really do. Consistency is one ingredient that can propell you forward with the compounded results of your efforts. But is that it? Is it really that simple?? It probably is. OR It might not be... So what else? 🤔 I think there's more to success than this. Sure, #consistency will have a compound effect but let's make sure we're all going in the right direction, right? To become #successful, and I mean really successful, a combination of personal attributes, habits, and skills is crucial. Here's 1️⃣3️⃣ of the greatest attributes to consider: 1. Discipline: 💯 Consistency in efforts, routines, and habits is essential. Discipline helps in managing finances, making sound investments, and maintaining focus on long-term goals. 2. Financial Acumen: 📚 Understanding of financial principles, investment strategies, and economic trends is vital. This includes budgeting, saving, investing wisely, and diversifying income sources. 3. Vision and Goal-Setting: 💭 Having a clear vision and setting specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) goals provides direction and motivation. 4. Resilience and Perseverance: 💪 The journey to becoming successful is often fraught with setbacks and challenges. #Resilience helps in bouncing back from failures, learning from mistakes, and persisting despite obstacles. 5. Continuous Learning: 👨🎓 A commitment to lifelong learning and self-improvement ensures that you stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, and innovative strategies. 6. Networking: 🤝 Building and maintaining a strong network of mentors, peers, and partners can open doors to opportunities, provide support, and offer valuable advice. 7. Risk Management: 📉📈 Understanding and managing risk is crucial. This involves making calculated decisions, knowing when to take bold steps, and when to be cautious. 8. Adaptability: ✌️ The ability to adapt to changing circumstances, market conditions, and new information is important for staying relevant and seizing opportunities. 9. Innovation and Creativity: 💡 Innovating and thinking creatively can lead to new business ideas, solutions, and competitive advantages. 10. Work Ethic: MASSIVE ACTION! 💪 A strong work ethic drives productivity, inspires others, and sets a standard for professionalism and dedication. 11. Emotional Intelligence: 🤓 The ability to understand and manage your emotions, as well as those of others, aids in making sound decisions, building relationships, and leading effectively. 12. Leadership: 😎 Strong leadership skills facilitate the ability to inspire and guide teams, make strategic decisions, and create a positive organisational culture. 13. Time Mastery: ⏳️ Efficiently managing your time allows you to focus on high-priority tasks, achieve goals faster, & maintain a healthy work-life balance. By cultivating these attributes, you can build a solid foundation for success! 💫Let's go to work!💫 #coach

Business Coach, helping entrepreneurs add 6 figures of PROFIT in 6 months or less without spending additional money on marketing and advertising.
Consistency is the cornerstone of success. It's the small, persistent actions taken daily that lead to substantial results over time. In business, I've seen how consistently applying sound strategies and staying committed to the process can yield incredible growth. It's not about one-off efforts but about showing up every day and putting in the work, even when it feels mundane or challenging. Greatness truly is the accumulation of good practices repeated consistently. Thanks Steven Bartlett for highlighting this essential principle!
