Commercial Growth Strategist and Advisor | Guiding Biotech & Planetary Health Founders Through Commercial Expansion To Secure High-Value Customers & Strategic Partnerships
𝗠𝘆 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 TechBBQ This week, I attended one of the highlights of the year for many founders, investors and startup ecosystem supporters: The TechBBQ in Copenhagen. The 2-day event was packed with great pitches, debates, talks and lots of opportunity to mingle. All in the name of entrepreneurship and innovation. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝘆 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁: (𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘩 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘣𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘱𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴) 🚪𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗱𝗼𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻: Arriving an hour prior to my first meeting at 10:00 meant that I had sufficient time for getting my ticket and walk around and visit some of the startup stalls before it got too crowded. 🔖 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲 & 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲: I had been advised to use the Brella app and book meetings in advance (thanks Søren Spanner Bach ). This meant I already had 17 meeting prebooked with people I knew I wanted to meet. 🗣️ 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀: With 5 stages of speakers, you are spoiled for choice! I had spent time looking through the program and blocked time in the calendar for the events I wanted to priorities over meetings. 👠 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗲𝘀: I'm normally a high-heal kind of person, but luckily I had decided to be sensible and brought practical shoes. That ended up being a good decision as all my meetings were standing, so I was almost on my feet for 11h. Also, bring a jumper/suit jacket as temperatures swing a lot. 🍫 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗻𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘀: There are drinks and lunch to buy, but with only 5 min. between each meeting (which was often consumed with prolonged meetings) I had very limited time to refuel between the meetings. I had luckily brought a protein bar and some nuts from home. This was a life savior. Also bring a water bottle you can refill at biobreaks. In the end, I had more than 20 meetings. My brain was tired, my voice was almost non-existent, but my heart was full. It was a very well organized event, with lots of inspiration for founders and great atmosphere. I personally really enjoyed seeing many familiar faces, and look forward to follow up on all my interesting dialogues. Did you visit the TechBBQ this year, and what was your favorite part?

👋 Founders heading to _SOUTHSTART! 👋 This one is for you... Bridget Cull and I are heading to Adelaide next week for the _SOUTHSTART festivities and we couldn't be more excited, because... 1️⃣ It will be one of the rare opportunities we get to see each other IRL, with Bridget usually based 'across the ditch' in NZ! 🥝 2️⃣ We can't wait to meet a bunch of startup founders and help them make sense of their #marketing so they can grow & thrive. 🚀 The main event days can get hectic with all the awesome sessions scheduled, so on Tuesday 5th we've cleared our calendars to offer in-person "speed marketing sessions" for founders who want to drop into Stone & Chalk Adelaide (Lot Fourteen) and work with us for ~30 min to start unblocking their biggest marketing challenge. The sessions are FREE and all we need from you is: 👉 A copy of your pitch deck and/or your website URL 👉 A brief description of what you think your biggest marketing blocker is right now We'll send you away with at least one high-impact thing you can do to start moving in the right direction, and hopefully a bit of weight taken off your shoulders. 😌 If you want to book in (or know someone who could benefit) - follow the link in the comments👇

The largest technology event ever organized in the Eastern Mediterranean! 🌎 🇨🇾 And I was there! 😀 More than 9000 participants, over 1000 founders and 250 investors from all continents came to the 7th edition of Reflect Festival. 🌟💡 3 days, dozens of venues, thousands of new contacts, endless memories. 👨👩👦 👩👩👧👦 👨🏼🦱 👩🦱 🙍🏾♀️ 🙍🏻♂️ The Reflect Festival is now over, but the shared ideas are just beginning to mature, the seeds have been sown. 🚀 🔥 Just as my book with Dr. Christian Dräger is now sowing seeds bit by bit and encouraging young founders to take the step into self-employment, or not to give up despite initial failures. 📕 📖 The feedback I get about our book: “Wow, this has given me so much courage, I totally see myself in it and will definitely implement what you recommend in the book!” 🌟💡 They really encourage me. 🤩 In a way, I also feel like an investor, not financially, but morally: I help the founders to continue to believe in themselves and their idea with our book. And promoting such ideas and encouraging other people is something I really enjoy. 🌟💡 💪🌍 The talks about education and schools were also very interesting, because the innovation of our future lies with the children and if we train them at school to develop their own ideas and be inventive, then the economy of our country will also feel the effects at some point. So in order to remain innovative, we should also ensure a school system that promotes ideas! As I used to be a teacher myself, I know what I'm talking about. 🎓 🧑🏻🏫 👩🏽🏫 Alexander Vaselek talks about the Familyoffice as an investor. This was interesting for me after I had already learned a lot about such family offices from Dr. Christian and Stefan Dräger. A friend from France, whose family had owned many supermarkets, had also already told me a lot about his family office. Family office: A company whose purpose is to manage the large private assets of an owner family. Would you like more tips on setting up your business? Do you want to be open and brave enough to fail? Networking in business is an essential skill that provides numerous advantages for personal and organizational growth. Here are several key benefits of effective networking: 1. Opportunities for Collaboration Networking allows businesses and individuals to discover potential partners for collaborations, joint ventures, and strategic alliances. By connecting with others in your industry, you can identify mutually beneficial opportunities that might not be possible otherwise. 2. Access to Resources Through networking, businesses can gain access to resources such as capital, expertise, and technology. This can be especially valuable for startups and small businesses looking to scale operations. 3. Knowledge Sharing Networking facilitates the exchange of ideas and best practices. Engaging with peers and industry leaders can provide insights into new trends, technologies, and strategies that can be implemented in your own business. We help Airbnb investors suffering from saturation and regulation transition to cash flowing, regulation-immune properties so they have direct control over their destiny building financial freedom for themselves and their families. Ever been to an event where they make it hard for you to know who is attending? Where you can't book a 1-2-1 meeting? I was just talking about this with someone on the tube yesterday where they had this experience at a well known event this summer. The result was that the time out of the office didn't produce ROI and likely they wont go back. The number one reason people generally go to events and come to SaaStock is for the networking. And at the upcoming SaaStock Europe in Dublin these are just some of the ways that we will look to optimise your chances of meeting the right people for you and your business to get the most ROI out of attending: ➡️ CONNECT+GO: Speed-networking sessions to help you engage with as many new contacts as possible... don’t forget your (digital) business card! ➡️ HUDDLES: Application-based peer-to-peer conversations covering the challenges you face in your day-to-day. ➡️ INVESTOR - FOUNDER MATCHMAKING: Having applied with your personalised preferences, we'll match you up with the relevant stakeholder and provide a private space for you to connect at the show. ➡️ ONE-TO-ONE MEETINGS: Open to premium event partners and SaaStock VIPs (CEOs & Founders of Series A+ companies and Operators at C-Suite/Management level), this Concierge service includes facilitated, 1:1 meetings enabled entirely by our team. ➡️ MIXERS: A non-pressurised environment for you to truly open up and share successes, lessons learnt, and pose questions you need answers to. We want to give you the best chance to maximise your time and get the right results to help you connect and thrive. Have you got your ticket yet? Don't miss out as they are selling fast. https://lnkd.in/epBtamMd
