With deep sadness we share that Dr Jane Colechin, Deputy Director of Evidence and Evaluation at Youth Futures, has passed away. Jane was a much-loved friend and colleague who dedicated her career to making things better for other people. She was a passionate advocate for the power of evidence to improve young people’s lives, and she spearheaded evidence generation at Youth Futures. More than anything Jane was a caring, generous, and passionate person who brought kindness and good humour to everything she did. We know this loss will be hugely felt across our community, and we thank you for your understanding as we grieve the loss of our friend and colleague. Above all our thoughts are with Jane’s family and friends at this incredibly difficult time. You can read our full tribute to Jane here: https://lnkd.in/gSgXr_cP
I didn't know Jane personally, but am so deeply sorry to hear this. Thoughts are with her family, friends and colleagues at YFF.
I am devastated to read this news. I worked with Jane at CESI. She taught me, a non-researcher, a great deal especially about Random Control Trials, and we shared passions for youth employment and 'what works'. Jane was the best of humanity - a highly intelligent woman with a finely honed social conscience. She really cared. I send my deepest sympathy to Jane's family, friends and colleagues. Jane was loved and will be very deeply missed.
Sad news i enjoyed working with her kind and compassionate, condolences to the family

Very sad news - sending condolences to you Barry Fletcher and the team at Youth Futures Foundation.
What can I say? I met Jane when we were at university. She will always be talented, intelligent and compassionate. There are no words enough. Devastated.
So sad to hear. I knew Jane from 2020. So knowledgeable and helpful. My thoughts are with her family at this sad time 🙏
Such sad news. We always found Jane so warm, with such generosity of spirit and brilliant ideas. Thinking of her family and friends, and the whole YFF team - what a huge loss to mourn.
What terribly sad and shocking news, sending love and condolences to all her colleagues and family.
