It's been 10 days since we launched YPSat on the Ariane 6's maiden flight! 🚀🛰️ The YPSat mission was an amazing succes, capturing breathtaking events during launch, and capturing scientific data on Earth's magnetic field, thanks to our collaboration with the OSCAR (Optical Sensors based on CARbon materials) team from Hasselt University. The success of this mission reflects the dedication and passion of Young Professionals in the Space industry, taking initiative to launch their own projects and missions! Reflecting on the past year, here are some key takeaways from leading the YPSat project through its final AIT stages and launch: 🛰 Responsible engineers: At SpaceX, engineers are known as RE's - responsible engineers who blend domain expertise with a systems engineering mindset. ➡ The success of a project hinges on having RE's who extend their focus beyond individual subsystems to ensure seamless integration across teams. 🛰 Experience vs. Testing: While experience is invaluable, nothing beats exhaustive testing! ➡ Thorough testing provides confidence and validation, allowing even those with limited experience to ensure system performance. 🛰 Seek help from others: Embracing feedback and seeking help from others is a crucial part of the learning process. Reviews and critiques from a diverse group of experts often reveal insights and perspectives that may have been overlooked, leading to smarter decisions and better outcomes. ❗ Keep in mind, the purpose of reviews are for the reviewee, not to entertain the crowd of reviewers. ❗ The best answer to a critical comment is “Thank you!” 💡 Follow YPSAT and stay tuned for more post-launch content and analysis! Here's to many more missions, inspiring future generations! 🌟👩🚀

3mo👏 Very well said! Perfect summary of my experience, that the most important part was testing and review - not only through experts - but also through fellow team members from other subsystems.
