The opening weekend success of "Challengers" highlights the appetite among Gen Z audiences for films that are sexy (!), fun, and exhibit strong craft and artistic direction. While big-budget movies certainly have their place, there is a significant audience for smaller, more intimate films that prioritize storytelling and artistic vision. The fact that Gen Z is so visually literate gives today's filmmakers greater freedom to explore unconventional methods of storytelling. This generation appreciates authenticity and creativity. This old clip popped up in one of my Social feeds as a "memory". It serves as a great reminder of not only how representation and visualization matter, but also of how easy it is for all of us to give in to our perceived limitations. It’s safe, and no one would blame us for not trying right? But each and every individual in this clip, as well as millions of others, choose every day to challenge assumptions. They embrace who they inherently know themselves to be. Instead of saying “I’ll never be able to…”, they ask: “why not me?” The same applies for all of us. We need to ask; will we choose to play it safe; fly under the radar; keep our heads down and just do the work, and continue to buy in to the narratives we’ve been sold by others, and/or (more importantly) ourselves? Maybe your answer is "no"; you’re willing to, but merely waiting for the “right time”? The law of diminishing intent says that the longer you delay doing something, the less probability you have of actually doing it. You already are a Superhuman; it's time for you to recognize it.
