I love being an artist. It is an incredible honor... It also takes constant courage. I wouldn't trade it for anything. And that's how the real artists are. They can't not do it. But we have to show up for them to keep them fighting to share their precious gift-- --and not just for them, at all! But because we *need* the artists. Little brings as much value and goodness into our lives as art, music, beauty, stories. This is why our culture gloms on to what is ugly in pop culture: because they NEED art, and they see so few good options. We have to give them something better. I am determined to see that come to pass: Through my own work. And through the brilliant work of others.
