Advancing Healthcare for Veterans: AI, Remote Monitoring, and Data Integration I'm excited to share that I recently had the honor of presenting our Division of Clinical Informatics' groundbreaking work to the VA. Our focus? Leveraging AI to revolutionize veteran healthcare. Key highlights from the presentation: - AI-powered remote patient monitoring - Development and safety evaluation of AI chatbots in medicine - Advanced cancer care architectures to enhance the patient journey A common thread emerged: the critical need for data harmonization and integration across healthcare silos. Our fragmented system often hinders timely, informed decision-making. It's clear we must: - Break down data silos - Develop patient-centric systems - Empower patients and caregivers with accessible information and tools I'm deeply grateful for the dedication of VA professionals and honored to collaborate with the VA Hospital de Veteranos (VA Caribbean Healthcare System) in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Together, we're enhancing telemedicine services for the Hispanic population. Looking ahead, we're eager to expand our division's partnership with the VA. Our veterans deserve nothing less than exceptional care and resources. Thank you to my friend and colleague George Vélez MBA, DHA, FACHE, for the invitation to present and his leadership at the VA. To all who serve at the VA: thank you for your commitment to improving lives. #VeteranHealthcare #AI #DigitalHealth #DataIntegration #Telemedicine What are your thoughts on AI's role in advancing healthcare for veterans?
