Today I learnt an interesting fact that Leadership is not about Power, it is about Influence. As leaders positive influence is key to drive high performance teams and build future fit leaders. It eliminates fear from teams and instills drive to deliver with integrity. Such a leader encourages employees to be better leaders in their own territories, and enable them to take ownership of business strategy and be accountable for their actions without Fear. Now the below table just sumed up how an Effective Leadership should look like, Serve and Positively Influence Teams/Employees.  Right or wrong, these two inspired me to be a better leader in my own right.

My absolutely favourite subject to talk about! It was a pleasure to deliver the training for such an amazing group of people who are willing to listen and crave the knowledge – and that’s what makes us successful DS Smith. Your mindset can be a powerful tool in helping you to reach your goals. It affects how you view yourself, your relationships, and the world around you. The reason a high degree of emotional intelligence is increasingly valued and sought-after by employers and individuals is that it has such a deep impact on everything a person does. It’s a way of thinking and acting that allows one to be more aware and understanding of all those around him or her, leading to better and more beneficial actions and interactions. Certainly can relate to this at the moment however, I can also reflect that the team I’m part of supports what is a continual undulating process. Always the trajectory of improvement through lessons learnt though which is probably the most important lesson of all.
