A concerning article regarding the labor market and the Navy. One thing I keep in mind is to be completely transparent in the support that I provide my clients so that someone can step in and take over if necessary. Another business function that I do not see emphasized enough is knowledge management and establishing a repository for transitions. There is also the matter of retaining employees and in this day and age, it is critical to tailor incentives to the individual need rather than a one size fits all strategy. And finally, creating a safe and cohesive work environment will truly make a difference in the performance received from employees.

🛠️ October is Careers in Construction Month! 🛠️ As contractors expect to stay busy through 2024, the demand for skilled talent has never been greater. In fact, according to CFMA's Confidex from March 2024, 71% of contractors are highly concerned about labor shortages—the top challenge in our industry. 👉 https://hubs.ly/Q02QLL8Z0 So, how do we attract the next generation of construction leaders, like Gen Z and Generation Alpha? By building a strong, inclusive culture that speaks to their values. Both generations prioritize diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and want to work in environments that foster collaboration, innovation, and growth. At ProNovos, we believe that creating a positive culture is key to bridging the gap and developing a workforce ready to meet tomorrow’s challenges. #CareersInConstruction #ConstructionJobs #GenZ #GenerationAlpha #DEI #WorkforceDevelopment #ProNovos #CFMA #ConstructionIndustry #TalentShortage

Here's a novel concept: recruit manufacturing skilled trades workers like they're the professionals they are! An idea so crazy it just might work... Rust Belt Recruiting is the outfit that came up with this zany scheme, and their president Taylor Evans joined us to talk all about it. He and his company are right there on the front lines of the war for industrial talent, so his observations are immensely valuable to anyone in manufacturing. Tune in at the links below in the comments section and supercharge your industrial recruiting efforts!
