In speaking to several people this past week, I’ve come to realize that it’s not enough just to ask for “help.” You have to tell people who want to help what you’re looking for. So with that in mind, here is my 2023 holiday wishlist: 1. Connection to someone hiring an Associate Creative Director (Copy)/Copy Director. 2. Connection to someone hiring an agency copywriter. 3. A literary agent. 4. Connection to someone with the ability to buy and/or option a motion picture screenplay or television pilot. 5. What's the weirdest thing you’ve got to do at work? Moa: Maybe not that weird, but! There was that time I visited a Tibber customer for an interview to #TibberMagazine, only to discover Carola Häggkvist living next door. I was almost as starstruck as I was when my husband saw Tommy Körberg at ICA. Tibber: What’s the best thing with working as a storyteller at a place like Tibber? Moa: It feels good to help people understand how they can lower their energy consumption, make their wallets bigger and at the same time contribute to a future with more renewable energy. Plus, I can write from anywhere – whether it's in our amazing Stockholm office, or the summer house by the lake. Writing with a view? Yes, please! Tibber: Is there any such thing as a normal workday for you? Moa: Actually, yes – and no. Haha! Sure, I have my routine tasks like writing articles, creating catchy copy for ads, and tweaking our website content. But there's always some exciting new project popping up, both in marketing and across the company, keeping things fresh and teaching me something new. Tibber: Last but not least. Moa: Not necessarily someone with several years of experience of copywriting and storytelling, nor a person who has to be super techy. I don't know who needs to hear this but... Producer ≠ Editor A producer's job is simple: Make sure the product gets made. Producers are not your editors. Producers are not your copywriters. Producers are not your social media managers. A producers job is to make sure that responsibilities are dolled out, tasks get accomplished on time, budgets don't get broken, and the show is completed. As a producer I spend 75% of my day: -Updating production schedules -Checking in with creative teams -Scheduling locations for filming -Building the foundation of the brand -Reviewing copy/videos/images for publish -Communicating between the CEO and the rest of the team The other 25% of my day I may: -Hop into an edit to help -Write a script outline -Publish last minute social posts -Put out any fires that come up I see WAY too many posts looking to hire a producer to edit their content. You're wasting your money paying someone to do the wrong job. #production #producer #content
