Hello! This is an elevator pitch assignment for my Technical Writing class for Biomolecular Engineers. The prompt for my pitch is to imagine you are giving a talk to incoming freshman about why they should choose your major. I found this presentation talk assignment to be very fun as I was able to express why I love my major. I immediately knew what I wanted to say because this would be the talk I would give my family and friends to explain my major. A couple notes of my performance and what to improve on: - instead of swaying back and forth, I could walk. - stop being so formulated when talking, I found myself trying to remember my script instead of being able to flow - all in all, I need to practice my public speaking haha To leave on an interesting note about cells, my colleague, Emmet, mentioned how despite cells being magnitudly smaller than anything else on our planet. That they work 1000s of times more efficient than any human engineered machine. Pretty crazy to think about the evolution of cells to efficiently functioning people. To be fair though, they’ve been evolving for billions of years haha.
