A recent global Brand Audit Report by The Break Free From Plastic (BFFP) movement revealed a startling fact: worldwide 18 of the 20 most common items found in waste streams were related to food packaging, including beverage bottles, food wrappers, and food containers. This underscores the critical need to shift towards reusable service ware and packaging to combat plastic pollution and embrace a circular economy. Amid the packaging crisis, opting for reusable service ware is a must. Nonetheless, we have a solution for Colorado-based businesses. There is an increasing commitment by the drinks category to look for new, more sustainable ways to pack, transport and store wine, spirits and cocktails. Beverage companies are considering innovative and sustainable packaging options, as alternatives to single-use glass or plastic packaging since these have a tremendous impact on the environment 🧃🌱. According to ecoSpirits, there were 689 billion units of single-use glass packaging produced in 2020, which resulted in an average of 550 grams of carbon emissions per bottle. The drink industry can work towards a more sustainable future by taking steps such as: ⟶ Using biodegradable, compostable and recycled materials ⟶ Investing in energy-efficient technologies ⟶ Supporting local communities and ethical sourcing practices This 2024, we are working to review our packaging for HYKE Gin. The global shift towards sustainability is undeniable. Making the switch to eco-friendly food packaging can significantly reduce your brand’s environmental footprint and production costs. Here are the top 6 benefits of adopting eco-friendly food packaging: 👉 Incentivizes Customers: Despite a general lack of adherence to eco-friendly intentions, consumers’ aspirations remain genuine. By increasing accessibility to sustainable options, such as eco-friendly packaging for carbonated water, businesses can incentivize customers to choose their brand over others. 👉Convenient Disposability: Eco-friendly packaging not only appeals aesthetically but also offers practical disposal options. Biodegradable materials can be composted, reducing landfill waste and easing customers’ environmental concerns. 👉Positive Branding: Embracing eco-friendliness enhances your brand’s image, even if environmental impact isn’t your primary message. Meeting consumer demand in this area can significantly improve your brand’s reputation. 👉Non-Toxicity: Eco-friendly packaging reduces the circulation of harmful substances like lead and mercury, associated with traditional plastic packaging. This is particularly important for brands catering to families and those concerned with non-toxic food consumption. 👉Energy-Efficiency: Lighter materials used in eco-friendly packaging reduce the strain on production processes, leading to energy savings and reduced business costs. 👉Variety: The evolution of eco-friendly packaging offers a range of options, from flexible parchment bags to rigid, plant-based containers. This variety caters to different product needs while maintaining a lower environmental impact. At LabelProfi, we’re committed to providing quality, sustainable packaging materials tailored to your business’s needs.
