Mental health awareness is near and dear to my heart. As a business owner, I take it seriously. I’m proud to say that we invest time and resources into creating sustainable business practices, including our wellness program, automating tedious tasks that can lead to burnout, and creating an environment where everyone can show up as their authentic selves. Software and tech in general is well known to struggle. We have baked wellness into the very core of our culture and because of it our people are truly enabled for the knowledge work of the future not the widget work of days done by. The most expensive assets we have as business owners is the brains we pay for, yet don’t prioritize or invest in. That’s equal to owning a trucking company but “not believing in oil changes” to that I say, good luck… Being able to show up as your authentic self means that we are a neurodiversity affirming workplace. But it also means that it’s easier for people to ask for what they need.
