Cyber security starts with you! As a digital-first retailer, we handle increasing amounts of data, so it's more important than ever that we play our part in keeping our business, customers, partners, employees, and each other safe. To bring cyber security to life, over 700 Zalandos got involved in an onsite event organised by our Information Security team. Florence Mottay, VP of Information Security, spoke about the importance of cybersecurity and how awareness is key to fighting the rise of cybercrime. Safety is in numbers – it’s vital for our colleagues to be aware of the dangers they face every day. Our cyber security team demonstrated how to keep ourselves, our work, and our company safe through a series of interactive games, where players could collect stamps to win prizes. As an outcome of some of the games, we put together a few tips on how to stay cyber-safe: • Keep your software and firmware up to date • Physically secure your wireless keyboard, (e.g. in a locker) when not in use • Regularly back up your data • Disable macro settings • Don’t rely solely on antivirus software - exercise caution anyway!
