True inclusivity in advertising does not mean skinny models with a few different skin tones that still fit the Eurocentric beauty standard. We see this a lot from brands. If there are no dark skin Black women, Disabled representation, all kinds of body shapes and sizes, and Transgender human beings in your ad content, you don’t have a full understanding of inclusivity. Inclusivity means EVERYONE feels seen, heard, and valued. I know people fear what they don’t understand, it makes them “uncomfortable”. But I promise you have more in common with the person you are judging without having a single conversation with then you can ever imagine. At the end of the day we’re all HUMAN! We all need to practice more non- judgement to create spaces for ALL humans to feel safe to be themselves. #inclusivity #advertising #brandmarketing
