I want to shed some light on the contrast between the current Russell Wilson situation with the @denverbroncos and how it’s identical with what Independent recruiting agencies go through with companies regularly. Russell Wilson signed a contract with the Broncos in 2022 which expresses that he has a $37 million dollar base salary guarantee regardless of if he gets injured or not. That specific component of his contract kicks in March 2024 which is right around the corner. The Bullying Broncos front office however threatened to bench him if he doesn’t push the date of the Injury guarnatee until March 2025 otherwise they would bench him. Russell declined and they benched him. The Broncos and Russell signed the agreement in 2022 and now that the major benefit for Russell is about to come into fruition all of a sudden the Broncos as playing bait and switch. Interestingly enough that same concept is very common with companies who choose to hire #independentrecruiters or #independentrecruitingagencies I have personally had a high volume of experiences where a client needing a #recruiter hires my #recruitingagency. We then produce very high caliber #candidates and once the client see’s that they want to hire our candidate ….they request to make a modification our previously signed #agreement. The client sees the pay up date approaching quickly but nothing unanticipated outside the details of the agreement. So then why is a request for delay even made? It truly comes across as a childish way of playing a sport. Let’s use Football as an example and playing by the standard rules of having 4 downs to score. So it’s my teams chance to score and we have 4 downs and we score. Now it’s the other team’s ball and they get a chance to score but they request to change the rules so that they have 5 down to score instead of 4 which was agreed upon in the beginning of the game. How fair is that? Some of those request were even to push back the placement fee payout date several weeks from when we initially agreed to. My stance is once an agreement is signed it stays as is. Both of these instances of contract modification request in reference to Russell Wilson’s agreement as well as corporate recruiting agreements come across as”Bait and Switch” and are unscrupulous business practices. #business #contracts #decisions #respect #fairness # https://lnkd.in/gJ2-VUnD
