What an accomplishment. 100k safe work hours leads to 1 M and more. All who work for us should be enriched by working for us and all must return home injury and incident free. Complacency must be combatted and relentlessly so. The month of May was a month dedicated by many to raise awareness of mental health. This focus is one of the next step changes in how we achieve a goal zero work environment. Where no harm to our people occurs! We have made fantastic strides in improving safety, with human factors and process safety awareness. The next big leap is in how we demonstrate care for our teams. Strong teams deliver, and strong teams care for one another, including being aware of the mental wellness of each other. Countless injuries and fatalities occur due to distracted workers, some of which is related to a persons mental wellness. It is clear to me, an outsider, that achieving the 100k hours is born out of these indelible traits of safety and care. Well done and congratulations to all involved. Be safe, and be the change we want to see in work, our communities, our world.
