Last week, during our amazing onsite in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, our team had a fantastic cultural experience! We spent an evening learning traditional Romanian dances ranging from the Maramureș region to Transylvania. Beyond the fun of learning the steps, we gained a deeper appreciation for the history of these dances and their significance to Romanian culture. We're on a journey to strengthen relationships both inside and outside our platform. Huge thanks to everyone at Dor de Joc for such a great immersive experience! https://lnkd.in/erg_MJXn

Reflections on my cultural heritage… Sweden has taught me to think long term, to consider the bigger picture, and the significance of having a flat and collaborative work culture. 🍀 My Polish heritage has instilled in me alertness, street smarts, and warmth toward people. 🌹 My Spanish experience has deepened my understanding of what it means to be service-minded, the importance of attention to detail and aesthetics, and how to create and enjoy life's events. 🪭 My French experience has exposed me to the worlds of art, literature, and wide-ranging discussions without the pressure to seek consensus. 🎭 My recent experiences working with people from the Balkans have taught me that humor is always a valuable contribution, and I have developed a deep appreciation for the music of their countries. 🔝 The English language has provided me with a global identity, allowing me to feel connected to people worldwide 🌍 Cultural heritage adds flavor to life, and working in a diverse company culture is essential to me. Therefore, I'm genuinely excited about what the future holds for Qinshift and Avenga 🚀

Technology has integrated into human life, not only enhancing speed and increasing productivity but also providing a completely new experience that has transformed our traditional lifestyles and our perception of the value of life. The recent opening of the Mohegan Inspire Entertainment Resort in South Korea at the end of 2023 brought surprises to tourists, offering a completely new entertainment experience. Further surprises brought about by technological advancements, particularly in compliance services, are evident. The Digital Economy initiatives spearheaded by MDEC in our country will ultimately drive the growth of professionals offering borderless services, contrasting with the current focus on the domestic market. #Remembering this great #Singapore moment of my #life. Anyone remembers #Swing #Singapore, which #originated as a #vibrant #street #party back in #1988, quickly became a #significant #part of #Singapore's #NationalDay #celebrations until its discontinuation in #1992. The event attracted #massive #crowds, showcasing the #spirit of #unity and #celebration among #Singaporeans and their #Visitors too. #Swing #Singapore drew an astonishing attendance of around #250000 people to #Orchard #Road. Back then, I didn't knew that the organizer was the #SAFRA, Singapore Armed Forces Reservists’ Association, the event transformed Orchard Road into a mesmerizing spectacle with #kaleidoscopic #lights and #booming #music from #large #loudspeakers. The #preparations for the event were #remarkably #swift, #planned in just #17days, and #involved extensive #coordination and #resources, including #soundsystems equivalent to #50discotheque, elaborate #lighting, and kilometers of #cables. The #success of #SwingSingapore prompted its #incorporation into the #annual #NationalDay #celebrations. In #1989 and #1990, the event continued to captivate audiences with new additions and attractions. These included specially #choreographed #dances like #OrchardSwing, innovative use of #videoscreens along #OrchardRoad, #laser shows, #fireworksdisplays, and #balloonreleases, enhancing the #festive #atmosphere. Notably, the #1990 celebration drew nearly #500000 attendees who enjoyed the #music spun by popular #discjockeys and participated in various #communities #activities. Overall, #SwingSingapore left an #indelible mark on the #cultural landscape of #Singapore, #symbolizing the #spirit of #camaraderie and #celebration that continues to #resonate among its #people. #PlayforGood #DoingGoodTogether

On average, it takes countless hours to create a world-class cultural experience. But that’s if you’re doing it from scratch. Or, you could immerse yourself in these cultural activities and enhance your language learning journey: 1. Cultural festivals 2. Local cuisine tasting 3. Traditional art workshops 🌏✨ #CulturalConnections #LanguageLearning #JoinUs #ucc, #MandarinBusinessEducation, #BilingualLearningSuccess, #UnitedCeres, #MandarinEnglishMastery, #UnitedCeresCollege, #CeresLanguageLeadership

🔴 How to Quickly Integrate into New Places I remember Ge Xu once said the best way to quickly and efficiently integrate into a new place is to sign up for skill classes. The people you meet there have already committed time and money, so they're more likely to help you connect with the city. His advice has always inspired me. Over the past few months, based on my experiences living in Chiang Mai, I've developed more thoughts on this topic. 🔷 For Chiang Mai (a tourist city): Many people come to Chiang Mai and take skill classes to experience different cultures. Even long-term skill classes might attract non-locals due to visa reasons, like Thai language or Muay Thai. To meet locals through skill classes, you need to find groups that are serious about learning the skill. I've also tried two other methods: 🔷 1. Attend local meetup events Chiang Mai's famous meetup events include the Language Exchange Party in the Old City. This event has a ten-year history. The current organizer, Maik Cook, took over from the original founder. 🔷 2. Interact with pet owners Mike joked that seeing many Thais at exchange parties is rare—three or four is good, ten is a miracle. Most attendees are travelers, while locals are often those who stayed and became Chiang Mai residents. Interacting with travelers means accepting that they will leave periodically, so you’ll need to constantly make new friends and then say goodbye. I wanted a more stable connection with Chiang Mai, so I thought of meeting pet owners. Most dog owners are settled in Chiang Mai and can serve as great links to the local community. You can also gauge a person’s character through their dog’s behavior. 🔷 Summary: To connect with the local community, start with your own skills and hobbies. If you enjoy badminton, ask about local courts at the language exchange party, find a buddy, and regularly play to build connections. If dancing is your passion, join dance classes at Nimman One and meet partners from around the world. Chiang Mai is very inclusive. You can use the "Events" feature on Facebook to find nearby activities.

In this post about eDreams, one might express concerns in a balanced yet critical tone: In my experience, eDreams could improve in respecting customer relationships. It’s noteworthy that their social media, including their Facebook page, seems to restrict user reviews and comments. This approach might not align with the ideals of transparency and open dialogue that are valuable in business. While they offer solutions like coupons, it’s worth considering whether these truly address customer needs. It’s intriguing to observe a company’s longevity under such practices. For a fuller picture, I encourage a review of their public interactions on Facebook. See the customer’s comments on their post…concerning. Anybody else had interactions with these guys? In 1986, the San Francisco Chinese New Year Festival and Parade, one of the largest Lunar New Year celebrations in the U.S., adopted the term "Lunar New Year" alongside its culturally specific title, aiming to embrace inclusivity and reflect the diversity of the community. 🌏🎉 This shift towards a more encompassing terminology has since been adopted by various cities and celebrations, uniting individual cultural festivities like the Vietnamese Tet and the Korean Seollal under the umbrella term of Lunar New Year. 🧧The San Francisco event, while recognizing its Chinese American roots, strives to represent the broader Bay Area Asian community. However, this inclusive approach has sparked discussions about maintaining cultural integrity while acknowledging diverse celebrations under one term. The use of "Lunar New Year" is viewed as a linguistic and cultural sign of respect to all participating countries, emphasizing inclusivity, yet experts also advocate for the recognition of individual celebrations within the broader umbrella term. 🌍🏮 Despite these considerations, the growing recognition of Lunar New Year in the U.S. underscores the importance of communities preserving their cultural roots and traditions while celebrating together under a shared theme of togetherness, wellness, and good fortune. #APALF #AAPI #Lunarnewyear #inclusion #DEI https://lnkd.in/d4H3M9Ye
