Being a software QA analyst, we've been told that your job is to find defects and report bugs. But the case is totally different. Finding errors is not the purpose of testing, it's a part of it. The purpose is to learn about the software under test. 2. Software testers should know what is happening in the system, how the modules work, where is a loophole in the system, etc. 3. That's why you'll see in some organizations QAs are the ones presenting the demo to the client and are responsible for the outcomes. 4. This is because business/requirement analyst usually knows the requirement of how the system should be. And the developer knows what he/she has implemented in specific modules. Project/product managers are usually those who have an eye on the business outcome of the software and manage the resources. So, there is a QA who knows the nitty-gritty details about the system. 5.
