76 years ago, the Palestinian people experienced the Nakba, out of which was born Israel, a state formed on stolen land. Today, they are subjected to genocide by Israel. The below is a very important short read about the historical context of the Nakba and the events following it, showing the volume of displacement the Palestinian people have experienced across 7 decades. Every year on 15 May Palestinians mark the Nakba, "catastrophe" in English, when around 750,000 Palestinians were forcibly expelled from their homes by Zionist militias to make way for the creation of Israel in 1948.
