Let's invest the time and effort into crafting evaluations that truly reflect our Soldiers' greatness. Because when promotion boards come knocking, we want our Soldiers to shine bright like the stars they are. I love the NFL Players Association annual reports cards. Simple and easy to understand where the 32 teams rank holistically across many verticals. I wish the Army would do this for installations and divisions. US Army leadership BEGS Soldiers to take command climate surveys every year. How many emails have you received in your career about DEOCS surveys? These surveys are loathed because the results are rarely shared and there is little to no action taken from the results, so why bother taking? The DEOMI - Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute reports a 44% response rate across the DoD for these surveys. I constantly hear senior leaders saying, "We need to see ourselves." Well, here's a very simple format that can be copied. This recognition highlights the impactful collaboration between our teams and reflects our commitment to supporting #digital projects with our Five Eyes partners. 🤝 Our CEO, Tom Larter, led the drafting of the Australian Army's Workforce Digital Potential Impact Assessment, a comprehensive analysis that evaluated 44,000 job functions for augmentation or automation. The assessment revealed that: ✅ Up to 50% of the entire Army workforce will be impacted by augmentation and automation by 2035. ✅ More than 20% of all roles will spend time with augmented technologies, providing a remarkable 30% capacity gain for the workforce. At the 2024 POST Conference, it became clear that rapid innovation and new technologies are essential to maintaining a competitive edge. Four years ago, a group of civilians, field grade officers, and NCOs, including myself, developed the first version of the Army Pacific Innovation Process, now called the OSD Technology Readiness Experimentation (TREX). However, the Army leadership did not adopt it, but it served as a foundation for OSD R&E's Mr. Shotgun Browning to adopt it at the OSD level. The conference highlighted the importance of providing customized strategic insights and innovative solutions to complex problems. It emphasized the critical nature of Rapid Innovation, Joint Capability Requirements, Battle Space Awareness, Joint Targeting Capabilities, Multi-Partnership Environment Capabilities, and the versatile potential of Uncrewed Capabilities. I encourage all US and Allied companies to collaborate to solve the strategic problems outlined by the INDOPACOM Commander. I found Donna Hicks’ book through the reading list of the United States Air Force. I think Craig Johnson, PMP got me started on reading from that list 25+ years ago. Yes, going on three years retired from the U.S. Air Force Reserve & I’m still curious what we recommend Airmen read. JoAnne (Jo) Bass - was this book one of your adds? If so, thank you! So much in this book touches on how we can be better to each other. ⁉️ What if we were more open to learning about the experiences of others? ⁉️ What if we valued more the perspectives and experiences of those not like us? ⁉️ What if we approached feedback with curiosity on our impact on others? ⁉️ What if we cared more than we critiqued but also cared enough to correct others? ⁉️ What if we really acknowledged that we are better together?
